Valet staff was awesome. William was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable of local options. Bryan at the front desk was excellent. From walking into the doors, until putting our heads down at night, the entire staff was outstanding. Clean and spacious rooms. Our entire family had a great stay at Doubletree San Juan.

Feb 16, 2025Overnight before a cruise, with a smaller room than the ship.
Staff was great but the hotel was subpar for a Hilton Doubletree. The rooms were small and not that clean. Fire alarms sounded 3 times in the one night we were at the hotel. Earlier that week there a carbon monoxide problem with guest sent to the hospital. The 100+ college students were using the free run coupons they received for being inconvenienced by the CO problem. As a Hilton diamond member the best room they could give me adjacent to the elevator so we could listen to the college kids head back to their rooms at all hours of the night. Breakfast was a buffet that was put to shame by most Hampton Inns. .

Overall, it was a great vacation. Great staff at the hotel and the beach was amazing. Thank you for all your hard work
The staff was amazing from Brian at the front desk who greeted me with a beautiful smile the wonderful cleaning ladies Maria and Diana on the fourth floor and I cannot forget the amazing Valet gentlemen who always go above and beyond number one on my list was James,Christian,William,And Jason In that order and of course there’s Emmanuel down at the beach by himself works very hard. And of course, the night crew at the front desk Gadiel and V. Unfortunately, the Cafe waitress staff was not much to be desired. The pool area did not lock, clean or up kept. This therefore, I never went in and the charges for the amenities added to our Bill Is ridiculous. You should be able to use the pool in the hotel that you’re staying in and parking in the garage as a guest of the hotel we should at least get it at a discounted rate. I understand a regular rate of a public but not for your guest other than that everything was great oh yeah and thanks for the cookies. 🍪 🍪🍪🍪

The Best Hotel and staff!!
I would like to thank Doubletree hotel, and all the staff members for making my stay very comfortable under terrible situation. My husband was taking ill on the princess cruise ship when we arrived on December 31 and we had to spend eight days at the hospital in San Juan When he was in critical condition. We live in Atlanta Georgia, and it was a very frightening experience to be so far from home with such a critical sickness. The staff was so good to help me with anything I need, including given us blankets and pillow to take to the hospital because they do not have any amenities there, everyone was so kind and caring to try to comfort us in our time of tragedy. Thank God, my husband is feeling better and we were able to get back to the Atlanta area, but I will never forget all of the kindness that was shown to us from the front desk to the restaurant to anyone we came in contact with, the hotel

When booking our visit to Puerto Rico, we did not really know the best place to stay. This hotel combines convenience, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and updated rooms. William (Valet) was particularly helpful in letting us know what was in the area with recommendations - even though we did not have a car to park.
