Great for beach access and snorkeling.
Excellent beach, snorkeling is great. Rooms were nice, recommend ocean front swim out or ocean front for best experience. Staff were amazing in all areas. Andri/activities, Julio and Luis at World Buffet and Jose/pool bartender were all amazing. Food is not good overall, fairly disappointing. Pool is clean and fun but not large enough in space/chairs for the amount of people being served.

Good family resort. We will bring the grandkids one day.
Perfect place for a family with littles. Small footprint so it is easy to get around the resort, The next door property is better for elementary to jr. high kids. Food is good, portions good and a variety of meals to choose from. Entertainment is not the quality as it once was. However, I hear that is due to Hyatt cutting some budgets.

Needs a lot of work and a disgrace to Hyatt brand
Will never come back. This resort is an accident waiting to happen and if you have accessibility needs, this resort is not for you. There are a lot of broken tiles and ruts in the concrete walkways. We were in villa 33 and we had to go down stairs to get to the elevator. No railings to hold on to. One person in our party was using a cane and needed to be extra careful using the stairs. The most horrible part was the timeshare sales process. I made a mistake of going to one of the sales pitches. It was supposed to be 90 minutes and three hours later they were pushing me to buy. Absolutely disgusting. I couldn’t leave when I wanted to. They kept pushing different offers at me. They have more sales people than actual staff at the hotel. Checkin and checkout Smooth process for both but phoning the front desk for help was a bad experience. They kept hanging up on us. 5 calls later, they finally answered the phone. This happened on more than one occasion. Room Our rooms were big and clean. The floor was broken in several places, so they can do with a refresh. Plenty of towels. Maricela did a great job of cleaning our room. TV was not great. Very few English channels. Food Breakfast at the buffet was okay. Gloria was a master at making our eggs. We had lunch at the pool. Not much of a selection but it was okay. Margarito was a fantastic server at the pool. The buffet dinners were awful. Hard to find something to eat. Food was cold. They use chafing dishes that do nothing to keep the food hot. We ate at Olio which was good but don’t have the lasagna. Anato was great but rarely opened. The hotel is short staffed and closes restaurants at will. The drinks were okay but the bartenders need more training. Not clear how they confused Campari and Aperol. Margaritas and mojitos were horrible. The pool bar was a joke. You could only order drinks if you were in the pool as they don’t have a land side. You had to peer over a pilar to get the bartender’s attention. An accident waiting to happen. The elevator in our building was crazy. We had to press the button a few times to get the elevator moving. Pool towels We found that getting the towels in the evening better than waiting the next morning. We heard some guests kept the same towel the whole week so that they didn’t have to worry about getting one. Some guests told us they used the towels in their room as housekeeping did not give them enough towels. Pool/beach chairs Not enough no matter where you went. We tried all three resorts and had a hard time getting one. I saw people lying on the sand because they couldn’t get a chair. Crazy!! Pool The water was freezing and the pool has a crazy big step in it that quite a few people tripped on. Definitely not safe. Entertainment The entertainment team was nonexistent. When they were, they had to shout to tell people what was going on because the hotel didn’t give them a microphone. Imagine playing bingo where the person calling the numbers so that guests 40 feet away can hear them. So definitely would not recommend.

Paradise found at Dreams
Dreams was a dream come true. We booked an oceanfront room and the view was breathtaking. The room was spacious and completely remodeled. We enjoyed the multiple restaurants with no reservations needed and the evening entertainment was lots of fun. We especially enjoyed the fire dancers and live entertainment at the Sky Bar.
