Great beach
Would’ve been five star except on the weekends the pools were overrun with locals and it was Crowded so we stayed on the beach. Specialty restaurants were very good. Our resort was very clean Beach was all sand Very nice with some gentle waves, not much for seashells or snorkeling though

Great trip
We had a great time at the resort. Ocean is a gem: sandy beach, no big waves, lots of spots activities. Entertainment team is very nice and friendly. Chicken Boy, Jay and Michael are the best. Circus show at night was my favorite. It had great atlets, gymnasts, and acrobats.

Place to relax -beautiful beach
This was our second time staying at the hotel. We can't wait to go again. he beach is amazing. The best in region, Great room! Very clean, modern and big! Good entertainment, and animation. The staff were very friendly and fun. i recommend buy preferred club package. Special thanks to preferred club manager Edwin and my dear butler Carlos. If you are looking for crystal clear, beautiful, turquoise water, this is the place for you! No seaweed whatsoever, calm rolling waves, and soft sand. If you're looking for 5 star food, this is NOT the place for you. The restaurants' menus lack variety and what is listed on the Hyatt app, is not the same as in the restaurants. Himitsu were our favorite restaurants. . FLYING FISH restaurant for breakfast and lunch was great. . French and Italian Ala carte restaurants were very disappointed. Food is overstated, meet is not fresh The weather was beautiful and there were improvements in the house wine. We enjoy the various activities throughout the day. Overall The paradise awaiting you at Dreams Dominicus is worth the 50 minute drive from the Punta Cana airport.

Second visit
We visited this hotel 3 years ago and enjoyed it so much we wanted to come back. We were there Nov 25 to Dec 9. Check in very quick, we requested the same building as last time and we got it. Our room was huge, clean and the A/C worked very well. Restaurants very very good, sometimes a bit inconsistent but nothing horrible. The Flying Fish in the Preferred area for lunch was a very nice option, just too bad it’s so far from the beach. Pizza delicious from the Pizzeria, which is in the Preferred area also. We rarely ate at the main buffet only breakfast a few times. The beach is beautiful, the water is so clear, the Preferred area got pretty full early, but they had another Preferred area on the other side of the snack bar. Service was very good in restaurants and at bars. We had good bar service on the beach and around pools also We only had a few complaints, not sure why everything has to be so LOUD, they could tone down the music and shows a few notches. And on weekends they has people come in on day passes, the one Saturday we were there an employee said 400 were there and it was insane at the swim up pool, saw people puking in the bushes. Ran out of almost everything at the snack bar, backpacks and bags everywhere This should have been managed in a much better way, there needed to be some kind of control, I also believe that is way too many people to let in at one time. It was really disturbing for the long term guests. Would I return, maybe? I would go for the beach and I do love the area.

Nice resort, beautiful beach
1 week stay starting thanksgiving day and great overall experience, very clean and well kept. Although there are negative reviews on food and people getting sick we had no issues and enjoyed the selection overall, there were more than enough choices and they changed out the food often. People complaining of sickness should obviously realize tons of people touch the serving utensils and people are close together which can spread any sickness quickly. It’s a smaller resort so the noise did carry and we were preferred in building 64 with swim up. The night shows were loud but didn’t bother us as we were exhausted by 9pm. We absolutely loved the beach and water, we actually enjoyed the larger waves compared to Hilton down the road which was calm all the time (stayed there last year). Only overall negatives were the paper cups which just didn’t last and felt 1 star, getting a spot at preferred beach by 7am and beach service for drinks. They should really double the preferred seating. I’m a fairly generous tipper so that definitely helped on getting a consistent flow of drinks. It seemed 80%+ guests were from Europe so not sure how that effects service with the custom of no tipping (maybe to general of a statement) so I could be totally wrong. I did walk the beach and explored the other adjacent resorts, this was by far the cleanest and best organized in my opinion. We won’t be back as we have been twice to this stretch of beach but definitely enjoyed.
