Excellent holiday
We travelled as 3 couples in our 60's Check in was smooth and our rooms were ready on arrival. On our first day we had an issue with a lack of shade on the beach due to people reserving sun beds in the early morning. The management dealt with this issue very quickly by creating more shade on the beach and the pool. Our room was large and well equipped and our maid Junibel was fantastic. The drinks were excellent and included many top shelf brands even though we were not in the preferred area. The buffet was very good and was probably the best we have had in the carribean (we have been 10+ times) Angela was outstanding in the buffet, her service was second to none. The house wine was not great, but go for the gold top bottle as this is better than the red top. The a la carte restaurants were OK, however the food is not hot enough. The wine list was extremely expensive, charging $50-70 for wine that is $10 in the UK The real selling point for this resort are the fantastic staff. They are super friendly and will try to accommodate any requests you have. Try to learn a few basic Spanish words as they do appreciate the effort. We would return as we really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you Dreams la romana

Great stay at Dreams Dominicus
We enjoyed our stay at Dream's Dominicus. For context, I have stayed at Dreams Onxy, Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana, Bahia Fantasia, Serenade, and several other family resorts, The beach was favorite part as it was extremely clear, calm and beautiful and you get the absolute best sunsets. Our room was very nice and clean, we had a preferred deluxe family swimout room. The property was always clean and I liked the colonial feel. Food was good. There's plenty of variety. My favorite was the preferred beach bar/restaurant. The staff was great and always very helpful. What I didn't like is the overall layout and logistics for preferred. You are checked in the building across the street. Because I had a swimout, we had a room closer to the beach, which was nice, but we didn't feel we needed to go across the street to enjoy the preferred amenities. I feel they should make the preferred building an adult's only area, and create a more kid friendly pool on the other side & have more activities geared for kids. While I was at Dreams, I did Monkey Land excursion and went to Altos de Chavon. I booked Monkey Land onsite through Amstar, but ultimately it is operated by Runner's Adventures, which was fantastic. Altos de Chavon, I just took a cab there. Both excursion were lovely. Overall it was a great stay, but we didn't feel like it was a Dream's property. It is a great value though and would return for the beach, location and price.

Beautiful Resort!
Enjoyed an excellent vacation at the Dreams in La Romana DR. The hotel is beautiful, nice well appointed rooms with great service from the front desk to the restaurants. Food quality is excellent throughout the resort and we tried each one of the specialty restaurants and the buffet. The small grill near the beach also serves some great pizza and hot dogs. Beach is a bit small but sand and water were awesome. Pools are also nice and there was lots of entertainment throughout the day and the early evenings. We used the gym regularly, which for a hotel is quite good. We took one boat excursion to Saona island during the week, which although fun (and Saona is beautiful) was way too packed with people. If I could do this again I would have done a private tour to cut down on the time (as it was a bit long long). The food on this tour was a bit iffy as well. If you can get a deal, upgrade to the preferred club as you get a good palapa on the beach with better selection of drinks and beers. All in all, a really nice week and a great resort!

Worest property @ Dreams Dominicus La Romana.
Me and my wife went to Dreams resort in La Romana, Dominican Republic. The entertainment and food were both huge disappointments. I was traveling with my wife & 2 girls when we entered try airport there is no transport from resort we book transport. Once we are in resort there is no one to welcome us we got luggage out of car and started checking in. Got preferred suite which I was booked and very happy king bed with sofa bed. Fist day dinner was at world cafe it has big buffet but not fresh flys all over the buffet station refills are done very unhinge no staff will have caps or gloves only few from inside staff wears it. Still was hoping it’s just that day. Second day started break fast at preferred club at beach side staff was tonight then guests . Order omelet the guy making was not even able to hold or turn the omelet . Grill was hot egg was burnt and vegetables not cooked. Had lunch in same restaurant it was ok. Dinner eat at hibachi waited for 30 mins got table this guy at grill was very poor cooking standards . AirCondition was drippy on top of me informed in-charge he was like told to maintenance not came at but Not caring to move me to other table or any thing I was in hunger so just left it 3 rd day got stomach bug and was vomiting and can’t do any thing for that day Over all food was not good to the property standard’s. Coco cafe is the best place. it took 4 days to recover from the food related stomach bug for me and my daughter .
