Nice New resort & great golf
The resort is less than yr old and rooms etc all in good shape. Few little growing pains that are still being worked thru over all good Food overall was good for an all inclusive. The staff overall was excellent. Friendly and helpful The preferred copy had basically the same liquor choices as rest of resort was a little disappointing, but Daniel & Santiago made in a lot of fun A couple of other shout outs to some people that went out of their way to make our holiday great. Thania from concierge help get our golfing sorted, (course great). Servers Alberto, Abel, And bell folks Mark & Giovanny Thanks for good time

Where to eat at Dreams Mazatlán
Our favourite restaurant at Dreams Estrella Del Mar Mazatlán is Porto Fino. The food is delicious , the service is excellent, especially Francisco & Genaro who made sure that my sister who is gluten intolerant had lots of choices. We ate there seven nights out of a 14 night stay.

A fabulous experience at Portofino at Dream s Mazatlan
We had very good service and food at Portofino! They were very attentive to my food allergy and went above and beyond to find foods that worked for me. Francisco, Genaro and the General manager Arturo were superb! Thank you for making this such an enjoyable vacation! Carol Ann

Great Staff, New Resort, Amazing Stay
The hotel is beautiful and very well staffed. You never need to look very far in order to get assistance. Oscar took care of me on one of my lunch visits and was very gracious. (As are all of the staff in the world cafe buffet resturant. I would absolutely book a vacation here very soon as the hotel is brand new, super clean and maintained with a very low occupancy I also want to give a shout out to the staff in the coco cafe as they are always wonderful too. My fave items in there are the chocolate dipped stiffed croissant and the slushy ice coffee (although the machine broke during my stay) I’d give the resort a 10/10, no notes as of Jan 25/2025

Family vacation
Had a nice vacation at Dreams Estrella del Mar. The drive from the airport is only 15 min tops. Check in was nice at the Premium Lounge, we had to wait a couple hours as our rooms were not quite ready. Waiting was ok as they had snacks and drinks while we waited and we could go to the restaurants that were open while we waited. Our room was beautiful with a spectacular ocean view. We were welcomed with a bottle of champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries. You only get one bottle of champagne with your stay and a bottle of white wine. Mini fridge, daily replenished with beer, pop and juice boxes. Asked for more champagne or to switch wine for red instead of white and they said for a fee and it would be expensive. The empty bottle of champagne stayed in our room the whole time along with the dirty glasses. The room had two queen beds super comfy, walk-in shower and a bath tub on the balcony that my grand daughter thought was pretty cool, having a bath outside overlooking the ocean. The buffet was very good for breakfast with many choices from crepes, omelettes, tons of bacon, sausages, fruit, cheeses etc. Everything was fresh and tasty. The Mimosas were a plus. Lunch had many options, we went for dinner one night but were seated next to the band and with a 6 month old and 3 year old it was way to loud for them...we had to leave. Mexican restaurant was very good but took some time to get our meals, very hard with small children. Meraki was my favourite restaurant, the staff were very attentive and exceptional when it came to the kids, making sure their food was out quick. The food was very good. Italian restaurant, we went two nights, our server was a bit rude when we asked for the children to get their food first, we got a little ignored and then one of the kids meals came after all the adults were served...it was noodles they ordered, should not have taken so long to get, after 8:00pm this night, a little late for toddlers to eat. Oceana - very nice atmosphere and the food was delicious, service was wonderful too. The time for meals again took too long with kids, eating after 8:00pm is just too late. Room service - took longer than expected - almost two hours one night. I wish I knew to call instead of using the App for quicker service. We ordered breakfast our last morning so we could pack, the food was very good and they brought coffee which isn't on the menu but if you ask for it in private comments they will bring you coffee. The coffee/snack bar was great to grab snacks during the day and in the evening. We asked for a one litre container of milk everyday for our room and they gladly accommodated for the little ones. Pool restaurant - chicken nuggets were awesome as well as burgers. Sorry the flies on the pizza prevented me from wanting to try it. I think the pizza should be covered so no one ends up getting sick. Pool drinks were delicious and getting premium liquor was a bonus especially the tequila. The pool servers were kind and courteous and always attentive. We enjoyed the premium lounge on a rainy day as it was nice and warm there. We were treated very welcome in there. The resort has a lazy river which was cooler than expected, cooler than the pools. The pools are nice and great for all ages. The splash park is cute and the older kids enjoyed the kids club as well as the water slides. Over all the food was good, not the best I have had at resorts, they really push kid friendly at this hotel and I didn't feel that way. They should open one restaurant for 5;30 at least to accommodate children. A young family should not have to order room service every night to feed youngsters by 600pm since the restaurants do not open till 6:30. Rooms were clean and comfy so kudos to the service staff. Checking out we were told to leave our bags in the room and check out - once checking out we gave our key to the front desk staff. Then later we were told your luggage isn't here as your door is locked. I had not key at this point - some miscommunication for sure there. I would have brought my own luggage down if I knew there would be issues - we even gave them over an hour for this and then the poor guys were running to get our luggage.
