Fun and good food. Ordered all 3 meats fish chicken and beef. Good family fun. Worth the reservation process. Relaxing meal after a hard day in the beach. Miguel was a good entertainer and just- thank you. Good flavour and a great experience. Came with friends and would return

Loved Mercure restaurant food/staff and reserving bali beds!!!
My family of 4 stayed at Dreams Jade for March Break from March 5th-12th. We have 2 teenagers, ages 13 (boy) and 17 (girl). We hadn't stayed there before, or at a Hyatt, but are seasoned all-inclusive resort travellers. We typically stay at larger resorts with lots of activities for kids but thought we'd try a smaller, more cosy experience. Overall, we had a lovely, relaxing time! We did choose to stay with the Preferred Club. We booked 2 rooms (first time) and it was amazing to have all that space. We weren't able to get the rooms in the same building which was a bummer. We did like staying in the Preferred Club: easier check-in and enjoyed the lounge with specialty drinks and snacks. They even had gluten free options (notably, a tasty vanilla cake). The Preferred Club section of the resort was quieter and more private with exclusive access to the french restaurant for breakfast: Mercure. Mercure was our all-time favourite restaurant experience there! Juan and Antonio were fantastic servers! Juan was very supportive to meet all our dining needs. I am gluten and dairy free and he made sure almost everything could be prepared with that in mind. My kids LOVED the french toast which was huge! Everything was delicious. Antonio was hilarious and could be a stand-up comedian for sure! He was so entertaining to all guests and made the experience light and fun. We found that with all restaurants, the staff worked extremely hard. Really, everyone there could have been commended on Trip Advisor for their work ethic. Also, we never had to wait in a restaurant line-up for long. That being said, we typically chose to eat earlier (5:00/6:00) rather than later. We enjoyed most of the restaurants (Spice for Hibachi and Tamarindo for Mexican) but Sin Sin steakhouse was just so-so. They had just changed their menu from Mediterranean so they just needed to get into their groove. The Italian restaurant Capers was great the first time but very busy and slower to serve food the second time (also served me gluten pasta by accident and we had to wait for this to be remade). We loved how we were able to eat at every restaurant which often you can't do at larger resorts. The beach was lovely and you can definitely swim in the water. It was windy the first few days with a fair amount of seaweed in the water/on the beach. By mid-vacation the water was clear and the seaweed raked up. We splurged on both a beach and pool bali bed. Oswaldo at the pool area booked this for us and was so sweet and attentive. He often checked in to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. The pool activities were lots of fun and the staff very enthusiastic and engaging. Our pool cabana had a great view of all the pool games and everyone was enjoying themselves. My husband and son took part in water polo twice which was super fun! The nightly entertainment was pretty good: a fire show, Mexican night, a market, outdoor movies, casino night, etc. There were some weddings taking place and it was lovely to see everyone dressed up and celebrating. Weddings never detracted from our experience. The weddings were tasteful, elegant and not overly noisy at all. I think most wedding parties ended by 11:00 p.m. We didn't choose to go on many outings this time but rather to stay and enjoy the beach, pool and sun. My son and husband did take the resort bike tour to Puerto Morelos which they really enjoyed. It hardly rained at all except for one 20-minute torrential downpour. We were eating lunch anyways so we were happy with that! My one criticism would be the Unlimited Vacation Club (UVC) representatives. If you are interested in committing to being a member and returning to a Hyatt, then this is your place. If you are not into that, they are still extremely aggressive. We are not a family that wants to commit to a membership (we like to be free to try what we want/when we want) and made that clear numerous times. Regardless, we were hounded often, particularly at check-in at the Preferred Club. It was hard to tell who was a regular staff member giving us the low-down on the resort or who was UVC trying to hook us in. If this doesn't interest you, be firm with "no" and don't sign anything. Aside from that, a wonderful experience and hope to return!

Great Family Fun; Entertainment Makes It!
We stayed for 6 nights as a group of 9 (ages 6-53). There was something to keep everyone happy and entertained. The entertainment staff and plethora of daily activities is what really makes this resort. I am not usually one to shout out specific names in reviews, but I truly appreciated the attentiveness and enthusiasm of the Entertainment team so must acknowledge Litzy, Dylan, Saul, and Antonio. They learned our names, visited with us throughout the day, and even planned a special farewell game time for us! If you’re a person who likes to participate in a resort’s planned activities, this resort is for you! (Water balloons, water blackjack, water volleyball, live music by the pool, guided painting, guacamole lesson, silent disco, bike ride into nearby town and Mexican lotteria were just a few of the things we did throughout the week!) As for other aspects of this resort, the rooms are dated (we were not on the preferred side.). Everything was in good working order but just a little lackluster and worn. If you’re a person who likes a very fancy room or plans to spend a lot of time in your room, this isn’t the resort for you. Reception had some issues. Especially threading together multiple reservations to make your keys work throughout. Also, if you’re a World of Hyatt member this resort seemed clueless as to status and perks that come with the different levels. (Suite upgrades being offered for cash price but then “not available” for Globalist upgrade for example.) The food was solid. Something in every restaurant and at each meal to enjoy. The breakfast buffet was especially good with a wide range of options including made to order eggs/omelets and crepes. The lunch buffet was also good. I thought it was neat at both meals they had a little kids buffet section- just the right height and with special monkey glasses and cups. The nighttime a la carte restaurant situation was so so. It seemed difficult to get a table in a timely fashion unless you produced cash to the host/hostess and then you usually could get sat near right away. The Italian restaurant was our favorite, followed by Spice. The hibachi grill experience with Miguel was a TON of fun if you have a member of your party willing to take an hour out of their afternoon to stand in line to get the reservation. (Side note: really wish they would do this reservation process in the mornings!) The spa had a really nice hydrocircuit and the massage I received from Olga was truly one of the best I’ve ever had! The beach was hit or miss with some days being absolutely gorgeous and others being ridden with seaweed. The water was very clear and though we had read reviews about the beach being rocky, we found the sand soft and never needed water shoes. The pools were warm and huge! The wait staff around the pool did an excellent job keeping the drinks coming. Especially Alvaro. The quesadillas by the pool were delicious and our choice for lunch most days. Finally, we encountered one of the managers, Abe, who was very friendly and a joy to talk to. This resort is in good hands with him.

Highly Recommend
Resort and experience was much better than I anticipated. Overall good food and the grounds are beautiful. Photos online do not do it justice. Watch out for Miguel at the Hibachi! He puts on a great show. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would recommend for families or couples trips.

What a peaceful dream
Beautiful property. Everywhere you look is blue: you can't escape the view of the ocean unless you're looking the other way. We had an incredible ocean-front room (7205) where we felt right on top of the water and view of the nearby marina. The room was clean and spacious for a family of four. The staff was beyond lovely – so attentive and caring; I felt like I was part of a family while I was there. I would say this is a more couples/family-friendly resort. If you're looking for a wild party, while you can still have a ton of fun here, you won't be getting the same volume of wildness, which is a plus for people looking for a peaceful getaway.
