    cockroaches, mold, rot...

The Dreams was a nightmare. Not sure where to begin, from mold, rotting doors, cockroaches, flooded grounds, pool side walkways cracked, construction debris & electrical wiring left exposed on pathways. We booked and paid for four premium suites/rooms (due to facility restrictions). All the rooms were in various states of disrepair. Cockroaches wondering outside and inside the rooms. Incense offered to mask the smell of mold. Rollaways beds stored behind rotting closets. Flooded paths due to broken irrigation systems left the walkways breeding grounds for mosquitos and other bugs. The pool and walkways were broken and tripping hazards. The resort is extremely dark at night. We did not feel confortable walking around. Due to the condition of the buildings, many of our family members were fearful of eating at the restaurants. Part of our group did try the Mexican restaurant, the food was burnt, flavorless and overcooked. The front desk staff were friendly but once on the property grounds. We couldn't find employees on the premises to help with questions. The request for a rollaway went unanswered 3 times. My nephew finally slept on a couch in one of our rooms. We are in the process of receiving a credit for our stay. PLEASE don't waste your precious vacation time on this hotel.

    Poor experience at Dreams

This is no 5star resort at best a 3 star and that may be pushing it The resort needs a major facelift. The resort is way out from anything so you need travel at least two hours to get anywhere including airport which can take three hours in traffic. The food is average the buffet is below average with limited choice. I hate to say this but service is sub par compared to other resorts I have visited The resort is spread out and at night us very dark as lighting is not working or is very dimly lit Be careful walking at night when it’s wet There has been no pool towels every day and you have to search around on your own for them. No napkins unless you ask for them, staff will bring you one or two items you ask for and then just walk away. The loungers are broken and the cushions need replacement The servers around pool come around twice a day and when you order they don’t come back with your drinks Its easier to go the bar yourself. I would not recommend this resort

3 days in paradise where your every need is met - plus monkeys!

Our family stayed here for a destination wedding and all I kept saying was ‘how could anyone complain of anything here?’ Granted our weather was great and we fully enjoyed the amenities of the resort for the three days we spent. The food and service were phenomenal and the setting was amazing!
