  Paradise found

  Dreams Las Mareas, Ahh, paradise! The grounds are just stunning, the sunsets are amazing, the pools are spectacular, the food and drinks were excellent, the plentiful and fun activities, and there is so much wildlife to enjoy on the property. We really enjoyed our Sunset Hike with E-Team member, Paul and our Sunset Kayak tour with, Jesus. I must say that this E-team (Katherine, Natalia, Jesus, Keslye, Antonio, Valery, Stephanny, and Paul) work with enthusiasm and always had a smile day and night-They really love their job. The weather was perfect. We ate at and enjoy the food at every restaurant, but our favorite was the French Restaurant, Bistrot, and our server, Ceylin, went out of her way to make sure we were well taken care of--and she recognized us in the mornings at the Market cafe. The white faced monkeys are a sight to see in the mornings and we even saw Amazon parrots, parakeets and spider monkeys during our stay. We heard the Howler monkeys too. The is one of my Favorite properties.

  Memorable Vacation Location!!!!!

  Just returned from a weeks stay at Dreams and this place was amazing!!!!!! We were met in the lobby upon our arrival with champagne and a very friendly welcome. Was a bit overwhelmed with the initial impression-BEAUTIFUL! Our luggage was attended to bell staff and got checked into our room. We did the Preferred package with a junior suite and tropical view (building 7). We met with our Concierge, Alejandro, and he realized we were a bit tired and hungry from our travel day. He suggested meeting with him the next morning to get our welcome package and information-PERFECT-this is just what we needed, food and get settled in. Can’t say enough “thank you’s” to Alejandro for all he did during the week. He made sure we knew we could contact him with anything, anytime. He made contact throughout the week to make sure everything met our expectations. We had an issue with balcony jacuzzi that was immediately repaired. He made sure we got our reservation to Tepanyaki on the day we wanted. Our room was great!!!! Clean, well stocked and had a great view!!! I didn’t see or smell any issues that others have stated in their reviews. The resort was beautiful. Ground staff was constantly attending to the grass, leaves, branches, etc. Everything was neatly trimmed and clean. It was pretty windy there during our stay and the ground staff kept it looking great!! We did use room service several times, mostly in the morning. Our orders were filled before the estimated arrival time each time and staff was very courteous and friendly. They always made sure the order was accurate. Two thumbs up for room service staff!!!!! Housekeeping was excellent and our room was attended to when requested. Mini-bar was always restocked and it was perfect. The staff at every restaurant from the World Cafe (buffet) to the hard to find Bistrot were terrific. Drinking glasses always topped off with a friendly smile. Food was great and we stepped out of our comfort zone for Midwestern US tourists and we tried many new dishes. All meals were presented great and the filet mignon was one of the best I have had!!! The resort never felt crowded and there was always room IN the pool, although it was difficult, but not impossible to find a lounger AROUND the pool. Quite a few go out early and place towels on the to “reserve” them. We could hear the evening entertain from our balcony, but never an issue of being too loud. There was a good variety that changed nightly and was in the courtyard in front of the main building. The entertainment ended early enough for us not to be an issue trying to go to sleep. We really can’t say enough good things about the staff at the resort from the grounds keepers to the housekeeping staff. We were always greeted with a smile and a hello. Again, Alejandro’s service was outstanding and made our stay memorable!!!! We picked this resort for a quiet, relaxing, laid-back vacation and it did not disappoint!!!! Just be aware that the resort is quite remote and the ride from Liberia is about 1 1/2 hours away.

  March 2025: Great Stay with a Few Areas for Improvement

  Our stay at the resort was a fantastic experience overall. The weather was absolutely perfect, and the staff was welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived. The property and accommodations were clean, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. Dining options were plentiful, with a great variety of themed restaurants, the World Café, and convenient poolside grills. That said, there are a few areas for improvement. The check-in process could be more efficient, and better communication about daily activities and the resort layout would enhance the guest experience. The different pool sections weren’t clearly explained, which could be confusing for first-time visitors. While the property initially appears to be in great condition, a closer look reveals areas in need of maintenance. If not addressed soon, these issues could become a bigger concern, which is disappointing to see. Despite these minor drawbacks, we had a wonderful time and would still recommend the resort for its friendly service, delicious food, and relaxing ambiance.

  Beautiful Resort

  The room and view were great, the food in the restaurants was average. The staff wasn't as friendly as other places I've visited. The biggest negative is there is only one bar open after 6pm other than the restaurants and it has limited staff and seating. It's an all inclusive resort however they limit you to four bears in your room fridge per day. It was a beautiful setting, would consider going again if there were more options available after 6 pm.
