Preffered Club = prefer never to go to this Resort again

Four night/ 5 day stay had our room cleaned once (cleaned is being generous), always turned on the Housekeeping light, was out of our room from 9-3 most days, never was cleaned. I always had to ask for towels, garbage removal, etc. If you want to get first seating at the Restaurants you better get in line at 5:00 pm (they open at 6), even with that you’ll be waiting and over an hour. Yeah you don’t have to make a reservation, but you’re going to wait all night to eat. Pool is dirty and hot. Cabana and pool chairs, be down before 6:00 am to get one. Preferred Club…that’s an oxymoron, the lounge is like a sauna and the employees at the Preferred Club desk would “Prefer” you not bother them. Only highlight is Diana at the pool what and exceptional Employee!! And Omar as well.

Wonderful All Inclusive Resort for our family of 5!

My family was at Dreams at end of March for spring break, our kids are ages 7-12. We loved everything about the resort. It was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. Food was good, drinks were great. We all loved the lazy river, it was super relaxing. The waterslides were a hit. The pools were all wonderful with awesome swim up bars. And the beach was beautiful. The restaurants did have a longer wait but it was peak spring break time so we just made the most of the wait time with some drinks at one of the bars. The evening entertainment shows were always fun. The best bartender is Super Mario at the Mermaid Bar, he went above and beyond remembering us and our kids favorite drinks. There was a lot of weddings that take place onsite, but not once did it take away from our stay. In fact we loved watching the set up, flowers and catching a glimpse of the wedding party. It was a special place for sure and we loved our stay.

    Preferred Amenities are Amazing!

This is a very nice luxury but family friendly resort. The preferred amenities are worth it. Alberto was the most attentive and friendly concierge. I cannot recommend his services enough. the only negative was that they seemed to be a bit understaffed in the restaurant areas. As it was a busy week for spring break we understood.

Avoid Building 7 At All Costs!!!

Our recent stay at Hyatt Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa Resort was completely overshadowed by the hotel’s clear prioritization of wedding events over the experience of regular paying guests, especially families and older travelers. We had two rooms in Building 7—one for our family with two younger children and another for my older parents (70+). Unfortunately, this turned out to be a nightmare. On one of the nights, the hotel hosted a wedding in an outdoor venue less than 50 feet from Building 7, blasting loud music and an MC yelling into a microphone. The noise was overwhelming inside our rooms. We called the front desk three times (9:00, 9:30, and 10:15 PM) and were repeatedly told the volume would be lowered, yet the noise level remained quite loud and we could hear every word of the MC. Our kids couldn’t sleep until nearly 11 PM, and my parents were equally disturbed. When we spoke to the front desk, they were completely indifferent and simply stated the music would stop at 11 PM—which is unacceptable for a so-called family-friendly resort where many guests include young children and older adults. The next day, with exhausted and cranky kids and parents, the hotel suggested switching rooms. However, since no other events were planned in the same venue that night, moving would have only caused unnecessary inconvenience. No real effort was made to compensate or properly address the disruption. The front desk manager, Fatima Medina, clearly was not interested in rectifying the awful experience. It’s clear this resort is focused on maximizing wedding profits at the expense of regular guests. If you are not part of a wedding party, expect to feel like a second-class visitor. If you must stay here, AVOID BUILDING 7 at all costs. We will not be returning to this hotel and strongly advise families and older travelers to look elsewhere for a truly relaxing experience.
