SERVICE SUCKS
This place is the worst out of all the Dreams/Secrets we've been to. I know the beach is A+++ and I was hoping that when I read reviews about the service and rooms it wouldn't be as bad. But IT IS. Never again coming back here again, and if I do come back to Cancun my family and I will no longer be staying at any Hyatt owned places. IF we do, the ONLY place that has been top notch was at Huatulco Dreams and Secrets. When we arrived our bed had hair and stains. Asked them to change the linens and when we came back the dirty linens were left on the floor. Had to call from my cell phone to the front desk because our phone in the room didn't work. The sink was clogging up so they had to fix that. They pushed the preferred upgrade so we did and went to preferred, no one was around and to walk around for 5 minutes to find our own towels. Saw a server and asked for the seafood food menu that you get being preferred and she said she'd send me someone. 10 min go by, no one. Go to the front desk and complain and they send me the same lady who was "going to find someone". Today went to go eat and I ask for straws for my little 11 month old and the guy says sorry no straws here, I tell them all the servers find me straws when we go to eat and they did so this morning at this restaurant for my baby. As I'm saying this the guy walks away and I tell him hello why are you walking away from me if I'm still talking to you? He turns around halfway away and says I heard you. I'm like how do I know you heard me if your walking away??? Comes back and says yeah we don't have straws. I ask the front check in guy at the restaurant if he can please get me a straw and he returns in 3 minutes with a straw. Another table gets sat down behind us with 6 people and the server goes and helps them out multiple times and doesn't bother to come ask if we need anything, our water glasses are empty and I see him coming and going to help that table. I ask the front check in guy away for help and he kindly takes care of our table. This place is a joke. We've been having to wake up at 6 am to go save our own seats because no one has offered to do so for us. I know it's first come first serve but everyone knows the servers an save them for people but at this place there is no top notch service, there is no customer satisfaction and the sad part is I'm here until Saturday. NEVER AGAIN AND I HOPE NO ONE COMES HERE. ALL AROUND SUCKS. The beach is not worth it.

7 dat stay - amazing!
the resort exceeded our expectations, especially after reading many negative reviews. the structure does need a facelift and renovations needed, but this doesn't take away from how much we enjoyed our 7 day stay at the resort. food was amazing, staff were amazing and super helpful, and the beach was great. couldn't have asked for more. the preferred club was worth the money/upgrade.

Nice get away
My 18 year old daughter and I took a break after her first quarter in college. Resort was very nice and staff was very nice too. The buffet was great and had everything you could need. We ate at Guacho's twice. Nice meal. We enjoyed the Coco Cafe because of the offerings of coffee, crepes and ice cream. The only disappoint would be the room service. Would suggest some additional items on the menu. We like to order room service after being on the beach or at the pool all day.

Highly recommend this place
Dreams sands is a great place if you’re looking to have a good time relaxing as well as doing some activities in the resort. We went as a group of friends during second week of December and dreams sands did not disappoint. The hospitality is impeccable, room service is great and everyone around us is super friendly. The staff is great, they go out of their way to help us out and make us comfortable. One of our friends is vegetarian but every restaurant accommodated her request to change few dishes to make it vegetarian. People who organize the activities are super friendly. We had a great time dancing, doing art, playing beach volleyball and Zumba. Diana, Favio, Yami and two others were so friendly and kept us busy through out the week. We also got enough time to relax. Evening events and shows are amazing as well. There are 3 pools and a large beach too. There’s plenty space at the beach to relax on the lounge chairs. All the restaurants are very good, food is great. Service is excellent, we are very thankful to Noe at World Cafe who took very good care of us. Also the evening staff at rendezvous bar made the best drinks. We highly recommend this place. We were told by many people that it’s good for people with kids, but we were a group of adults without kids and we had equal amount of fun. Big thanks to our Room service staff Ms Dulce, who made sure our room was clean everyday. Overall a great experience and we will definitely visit again ♥️

Come with your friends & familes
This hotel chain never fails. Make sure you check which restaurants are closed on which dates to avoid disappointment. The staff are always top notch. Alejandro at the beach, Yazmin at Olio, Noe at the buffet are all wonderful. Angie, the entertainment director keeps the party going, don't forget to make time for the shows!
