Great Resort, but Don't Sign-up for the Harassment Package
We spent the Christmas holiday week here with family and friends and overall felt this is a great place to get away and relax. We did the Preferred Club upgrade and were thankful we did. This was a lifesaver when other areas of the resort were crowded. With the exception of the UVC hustlers (more on that later), the staff is amazing, rooms always cleaned and food is great. The only thing about the food I would point out is at Vista Prime, don't bother with the extended menu that you pay for. I did order a 400g "dry-aged" ribeye and was surprised to be served a rather thin slab of meat. Otherwise, the main Pool is nice, large but sometimes a bit loud if you're on the lower levels. We spent most of our time at the Rooftop pool- quiet, small, for preferred, no kids and the view is amazing. We loved the spa; they really know what they're doing there for sure. The Rooms are not sound proof, your hear everything going on next door or outside the door. The Plunge pool is not worth the expense - it is not filtered or heated. Not sure how often it is cleaned, as we found a rigatoni noodle in ours and requested cleaning. Would not book room with this on another stay. Beach- A bit on the smaller side, water is somewhat clear, but we took a water taxi over to the Hotel Area and found these beaches and water to be incredible. A night and day difference with crystal clear beautiful water and white sandy beaches. The water quality at Dreams Vista is certainly a shortcoming, but that's just the nature of this location. So, the major downfall of Dreams Vista is the harassment surrounding the whole Vacation Club thing. I've never really experienced anything quite like this, but my take on it is annoying, disrespectful and offensive. We were sent to the preferred lounge at check in, waited for a concierge to sit with us to go through the check in process and get us to go to the Vacation Club breakfast. We said no thank you and could tell the fact that we were tired and hungry from travel and just wanted to go to our room was not well received. A couple days later, we were again approached on this, and were made to feel as though we offended the concierge for refusing to attend the presentation. This, of course, is ridiculous. The Vacation club breakfast presentation is NOT 90 minutes, its much more. On the day of our check-out, sitting in the Lobby lounge, we could see and overhear the uncomfortable experiences of other guests that we fortunately avoided. THEY ARE HIGH PRESSURE Sales, we heard one woman complain that she had already spent SIX HOURS of her vacation listening to the spiel. Another left the room speaking angrily over the treatment and appeared to be pressured to return. Dreams Vista - You need to understand that people work many hours just to spend one hour at your resort. While the overall experience is great, people do not work hard to receive a high pressure sales pitch for hours on their well-earned vacation. Please...have some respect for the people that have chosen your resort over the many other options available in Cancun. Will we return to this resort - Not likely.

Brits in Mexico - A great time!
As a young couple from England, we visited in December over Christmas and overall had a lovely time. Every night we ate in one of the different restaurants and each time we felt like we was going ‘out for a nice meal’. The ambience, staff and food in the restaurants is top notch. When you arrive at the resort you are asked to download an app which you can do pretty much anything on like ordering room service, it was easily accessible & straight forward to use. The rooms - the bed is like sleeping on a cloud, it was amazing! Our original room was on floor 7 & this was spotless and made up in the evenings, however we was moved due our AC being broke. The room was the exact same but definitely not as much effort put in. The evening entertainment wasn’t great and if we hadn’t got talking to a larger group of people & ventured out of the resort in the evenings we would have been bored. We upgraded to the preferred club & as a young couple with no children this was definitely worth it, the rooftop pool is gorgeous, heated and the views are immaculate. The breakfast in the Bluewater Grill is also amazing. On Christmas Day they tried to get us to reserve a table at the buffet at a minimum of $300 which we did not do. We found this slightly disappointing as we’d come away for Christmas not expecting to have to pay out for more. We ate in the Italian restaurant as included in the all inclusive and the food was delicious, we are glad we chose to save our money! The resort itself is extremely safe. It’s clear that a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to keep the resort looking lovely and it really does show. We were extremely impressed. We would like to personally give our gratitude to the following individuals who have made our holiday memorable. Jimmy at reception, Eduardo (Mexican restaurant) David (rooftop waiter), Angel (Italian restaurant waiter), Rueben (Bluewater waiter) Richard (Bluewater waiter).

The one and only reason we come back after 7 times is for IRENE! On the entertainment team!
The one and only reason this is our 7th time back is for our favorite person on the entertainment team. IRENE! She goes above and beyond to make my kids have the time of their lives while they are there. Irene, THANK YOU! You’re not only an incredible hard worker…but your kindness and hospitality is also out of this world! On another note, although Ana, one of the reservation managers helped us out, she wasn’t willing to put us by my mom or dad. Or my sister and her daughter. In fact she put us on a completely different floor (I was on 14…my parents and sisters rooms were on 6) than them and she wasn’t able to accommodate us. Which again after 7 times of visiting this resort…you would expect a little more effort in accommodating loyal guests. For Ana being a manager, I would have expected a bit more of an understanding and more effort in accommodating our group of 8…or at least putting us somewhat close to each other. Hopefully going forward Dreams Vistas guests requests can be better fulfilled. Other than that, we might not be back for quite sometime but if we do…the only reason we would be back is for Irene. YOU DESERVE A RAISE IRENE!

💯 Recommended
Our family of 9 just had the best week ever at your location. We will definitely be back. Amazing dining experiences, super clean accommodations, the best cocktails, thanks to Dania at the pool, and Claudio at the Lobby bar. We would 💯 recommend this location to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Great on paper
Modern design, good food, but... Narrow beach, not the Caribbean turquoise blue due to seaweed ( see photo - visited late Dec 2024), friendly staff that are overworked and can't keep up, chaos with restaurant booking and serving food, crazy lineups for the surf pool or Rock climbing. Food was also decent not 5 star. Overall... Corporate trying to cut costs and it shows.
