Overnight stay
I was only in Cozumel for a night and stayed here. I left wishing I could stay longer. This Hotel is amazing! Very nice and highly recommend staying there.

Great Stay, Great accommodations
El Cid is excellent IMO ! Really great location and value with the all-inclusive option. Clean cool rooms, excellent food/seafood, great location with dock for scuba daily pickup. Well maintained grounds, pool area and snorkeling right off the deck. The support team is always happy and working to clean and maintain the place. I never left the grounds for a 5-day scuba trip. Highly recommend !

La Ceiba visit
It was wonderful to be at La Ceiba again. Many thanks to Esther Zapata for her excellent care of us. To Roberto Barrientos for his service regarding an exceptional Thanksgiving dinner a great big thank you. Yolanda, our housekeeper kept our rooms sparkling. Thank you everyone. NB

Damp
Sheets and room were damp and hot tub was dirty. Also super close to cruise ships so not any view and food and drinks were bad.

Nice location but dated and average food. Huge potential with some investment.
Nice location, but time to renovate. Too dated to recommend to others. Very courteous staff. Tipped a lot of good people. Food was good, not great. Some items were amazing, others mediocre. Moldy smell on 8th floor was very bad, and weak water pressure took away the joy of a good shower. Hot water surged and got cold during showers. Beds were very comfortable. The fridge in the room helped with cold meds and should be standard in each room. We had to ask for one despite putting it in our booking request. Cancelling karaoke left a lot of guests disappointed. We enjoyed our stay because we are good travelers no matter what, but the shortcomings need to be addressed so the facility is up to the level of the staff and service. 3 stars is fair. Probably not going back to this property until renovations are prioritized. The small beach was a nice place to tan.
