  Personalized service makes a difference

  My wife and I very much enjoyed our one week visit. It was 17 years ago when we first visited El Cid in Mazatlan at El Moro. This time we stayed at the Marina. We enjoyed the personalized service, from the maid, Rosy, to Armando Lizarraga, Rosy was very attentive to our needs and most thorough in her cleaning. The Concierge, Armando L, was so helpful from the very beginning. We arrived Friday and wanted to attend a special function at el Teatro Angela Peralta on Saturday. We had tried earlier to obtain tickets online and over the phone and we were not able to purchase the tickets.. That Friday, after his shift, Armando went to the venue after his shift ended and purchased tickets for us and gave them to us the following day. We had a great time. In terms of the site,the rooms are comfortable. The food is very good. The gym had the fitness training equipment we needed. The pool and beach are very relaxing with attentive staff

  El Cid is second to none

  I enjoyed my recent stay at El Cid El Moro Beach immensely. The resort staff is second to none. I started my day at the gym which opens early then would have a delicious buffet breakfast with my friend. After breakfast, I attended the daily stretching class. The activities’ staff at both El Moro & El Cid Marina are amazing. While all the staff were enthusiastic and provided a good relaxing stretch class, my favorite instructors were Cinthya, Angel, Juan José & Javier (”Paco”). At the El Cid Marina, my favorite part of the day was taking the Spanish class that was taught by Dante. Dante was able to teach us English speakers a little Spanish in order for everyone to enjoy their Mexican experience to the fullest extent. Whenever I attended a class taught by Dante, I learned something useful & interesting every time. Despite our diverse levels of Spanish proficiency ranging from almost no Spanish to intermediate Spanish learners, it was very impressive of Dante how he was able to keep everyone engaged and learning despite the different levels of Spanish knowledge we all had. My sincere thanks go out to all the staff at El Cid for making my stay yet another one that was enjoyable and memorable for me.

  Great stay at the marina

  Fantastic staff in all areas , right from the start it was a easy sign in and no timeshare pressure. Pools were not crazy busy but service some days was a bit slow. The beach on cruise ship days is busy but still found great spots and service. Beach vendors respected your space and were not pushy, and no bands.

  A winter getaway

  Service: AMAZING! Love everyone there - lots of familiar faces. Food at all Elcid restaurants was very good - favorite is la terrace. Pools: one quiet and cold, one warm and busy with activites. Comfort of room: my only complaint/not enough furniture in living area and the pillows (even soft ones) too fat/hard.

  First Time All-Inclusive experience was nice!

  The grounds were immaculately kept and the marina was very peaceful. While this wasn't an adults-only resort, there were never too many kids around and it was very quiet. Even though the resort didn't have the best view of the sunset from the majority of the rooms, it was easy and simple to get to the beach area. The beach area was nice and it wasn't ever super crowded. This being our first All-Inclusive experience, we would have appreciated some more direction on the how-to's of it all. While the staff was great at explaining the various features of the resort and what the different areas were, we had to be told by waitstaff how the package that we purchased actually worked when it came to day-to-day. No complaints on the room amenities and the experience we had. Altogether pleasant and a relaxing vacation. I wish there was more information available online ahead of the trip that could have prepared us better for the restaurant choices, the layout of the resorts, timing of certain items, etc. as that would have been helpful for someone else who was also traveling here for the very first time!
