muy bueno
Stayed for a week for the GFNY Cozumel race. They were extremely accommodated with having a bike (and bike bag) in the room with me. Food was alright, the buffet was a bit of the repetitive meals, but it was a buffet so what do you expect? I was good with meals in general Service was top for what I leveraged service for. Everyone was very friendly and I enjoyed the time.

Vintage Charm & Crystal Water
This is lovely, small, vintage resort. Our favorite aspects were the amazing staff and the clear lagoon created by a sea wall (so clear and crystal blue we didn't even need snorkeling masks to see the fish and the bottom). We spent most of our time on the beach right on the lagoon, where waitstaff brought us shrimp tacos, quesadillas, fresh chips with salsa and guacamole, among other delightful meriendas, and drinks. All of them were so attentive, sweet, and gracious. In particular we want to single out the following who work in the beachside buffet and by the pools and beach: German, Paulino, Santiago, Luis, and Miguel. In the lobby: Fatima (front desk), Roberto (tour desk). And Carlos (dive shop) and Jenny (best massage of my life). The cleaning staff and gardeners were so friendly, as well. I always try to speak Spanish when visiting Mexico, and everyone was so patient and willing to teach me new words and phrases. Tourists who prefer hundreds of choices at the buffet may not be thrilled, but to us a simpler buffet was perfect. We could also order off the menu, and dishes such as basil pesto seabass, shrimp rosettes, and icy gazpacho were some of the best we have ever tasted. (There is one reservation-only restaurant, but we never went there, as we loved the buffet venue and our favorite staff.) Our room was spacious and lovely. We enjoyed El Cozumeleno so much that we are going again next week. Muchissmas gracias a todos!

Comfy and quaint
This is a small boutique hotel on the north side of Cozumel. It is lovely and eco friendly. The air conditioning was cold, great food and atmosphere without the hustle and bustle of Playa or Cancun. If you want a relaxing vacation, this is it!!

Honest, but Conflicted Review
I don't know where to begin. Most of the reviews are very good, but there are some Americans that talked about how run-down the resort is. I've seen reviews like this for about every place we've stayed overseas. And I've always disagreed. This is the first time, I will say, the reviews are spot-on. Read on for the good, the bad, and the ugly. The Good; THE STAFF IS AMAZING!!! I don't know how many times I can say this, but everyone from the groundskeepers to the servers, to the front desk. Everyone is so nice and will do anything they can to help you. Many of them don't speak English, but will go find someone that can. The staff is the best part of this resort, they made the stay livable. Just wish I could take the entire hotel staff and put them in another hotel. The location...just 5 miles from San Miguel and the airport. Very easy to get a cab to the downtown or airport. $10 USD to SM. Small private beach for the resort. Food...Not much food to chose from, but made from scratch and fresh. The Bad: Only 2 restaurants, one buffet and the other, is a reservation. Both very small. Coffee is instant Maxwell House. 2 very small pools, there was hardly anyone there. Not sure how could accomendate a lot of people with the restaurants and facilites. The Ugly: The rooms and the hotel are in horrible shape. The pictures on the website must be at least 20 years old because nothing looks like that now. Broken tiles, toilets, springs coming up through a 20+ year old mattresses, furniture and curtains that looks like from 1970s, when the hotel was built. It's impossible to really get a good nites sleep because of the mattresses and air-conditioning is set at 77 in the rooms. You can't change it, believe me, we tried. The bed sheets are so faded and old. But they're clean. The hotel must have looked great the last time it was renovated, but now they just try to patch everything up. All the facilites are run-down. The rooms looked like a 1 star hotel in the US, maybe like the ones that charge by the hour. I would give it 5 stars for the staff and 2 for the facilites. I didn't want to write this review because I loved the staff so much. I don't want anything negative to reflect on them. They all go above and beyond for their guest. The is my favorite staff of anywhere that I've ever stayed. They are authenic and want to help you, not just because it's their job. I didn't pay a lot to stay here, another reason didn't want to write this review. I don't expect a 5 star resort when I paid for a 2-3 star one. I didn't take any pics of the rooms because they were bad, but did take ones of beach, The best part of the resort. I wouldn't stay here again unless it's renovated, but I will take their amazing hotel staff anywhere.

Awesome time!!!
Awesome!!! The food was great! The drinks were great! The service was great!! The location is amazing!! The amenities that were included in the price were very good!! The music that was playing by the pool was at a very decent level, not disturbing at all as almost all the other all inclusive resorts that I've been to. The kindness for all the staff was great! I was very surprised of all the underwater life that we found on the ocean, I'm a scuba diving instructor and I used to live in Cozumel, it was amazing! You simply don't find that kind of life anymore so close to the shore anywhere on the island. We'll definitely come back!! Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 to the management and all the staff, I surely recommend it!!!! Super cheersssss!!!!
