Very good hotel at a relatively good price

We stayed at this hotel for 8 days in early March 2025. We were in room 841. Overall, this hotel is a comparatively good value. Not beach side, but a short 2 blocks away. The beach area is very nice and Embassy Suites have staff on the beach to set up your chairs and umbrellas. Another beachside hotel will offer a food and beverage service to you at the beach. (Nice) The pool area is also very nice with a Tiki bar that serves drinks and some food. The hours are relatively short though, closing at about 5 pm. The room was clean and in very good shape. The bathrooms looked updated. The room was cleaned every day but Sunday (short staffed). Brenda Lee was our housekeeper and did an excellent job. The hotel bar was very good for drinks and food with excellent staff. Victor, Ceasar, and Johnny are names I remember. Front desk staff were very good. Sometimes there was a short wait but when they got to you, they were very good. The included breakfast was adequate. Many choices with food quality equal to that of the included breakfast found at state side hotels. Not great but OK. The omelet station was an exception. The omelets were very good. Some relatively minor issues: 1) The lobby was always cold. We mentioned it to the front desk but it never really warmed up. May have something to do with the 8 story atrium. 2) The A/C in the room was very good most of the time. For some reason in the middle of the night it seemed to work a little less efficient. Not unbearable but noticeable. We would definitely stay here again. Lots of pluses, very few negatives.

    Tired hotel

This hotel is dated and worn out -- and expensive. Its only advantage is proximity to the airport and the beach. The room was quite clean, and the beers in the gift shop are a relative bargain, but the "made to order" breakfast means a long line for omelets or a shorter line for basic budget hotel food. It also seemed understaffed--the man who checked us in was not very welcoming. I suspect most of the hotels in this area at this price point are similar.

    Great choice !

Great location ! While this is very close to the airport and near the highway its very very quiet in both the rooms as well as the beautiful pool area. Pool is shaped like an S with palm trees and waterfalls with plenty of loungers and a separate kiddy pool. Rooms are all suites with an extra door between the bed area and livingroom area. Beach is a quick, short 2 block walk in a safe area ( near the police station!) with the first block lined with restaurants, fast food, and drug stores. At the beach is a dedicated area for the hotel guests with chairs, towels and loungers. A full service 24 hr grocery store is also just around the corner and has both hot and cold food plus seating to eat there. Nice breakfast with a made to order omelets station plus happy hour drinks and munchies. We even watched the Super Bowl with lots of guests. We ate at all the restaurants and their little shop that's a combo store in case you forgot something as well as food to go ... we had a nice pizza we took up to our room. Everything was great ! This place has plenty of very friendly staff too ... plus daily maid service ... haven't seen that since preCovid ! We'll be back !

stay away if you have small kids

We booked this hotel for a family vacation, but unfortunately, it was not the relaxing stay we had hoped for. While the hotel itself is clean and offers standard accommodations with nice rooms, it is not ideal for families looking to enjoy quality time together by the pool. The pool area was incredibly slippery, making it stressful rather than relaxing. On top of that, the water was freezing—so cold that even our kids, wearing wetsuits, were shivering. We couldn’t spend any meaningful time in the pool, which forced us to search for alternative kid-friendly activities to salvage our trip. If you're traveling with young children (especially under five), I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This hotel simply isn’t designed for a family-friendly vacation.

    Could be great

Close to airport but plane noise was never an issue. Staff was very friendly and crew working breakfast did a fantastic job of moving people and cleaning tables. Coffee was very good- orange juice was colored water and tasted nasty. Beach was very walkable- chairs and umbrellas provided with resort fee. The biggest issue here was the pool temperature- FREEZING. Come on Embassy- you guys can at least warm the water to a "swim-able" level. Nobody is asking for bath water- but almost everyone at the pool when we were there complained about it. We visited friends at a nearby Condado Hotel- that pool was heated, and everyone really seemed to be enjoying it. Embassy has a real nice pool setup, but not to be able to go in (without getting put into brain and body freeze) is kind of a deal breaker. Rooms seemed recently updated and clean. Tried the restaurant in lobby (La Cueva Del Mar) and it was just OK- with so many other good options nearby if you can leave property- it would be a one and done for me. Wait staff at La Cueva seemed uninterested in their jobs and preoccupied with other things. All in all- a nice stay- but Embassy should really consider "warming" up their VERY CHILLY pool.
