Authentic atmosphere
The hotel is very nice, the best are the people there - the staff. All were very nice, helpfull. I must say thank you to Yesenia, who was the roomkeeper. Our room was everyday very clean and prepared for the new day. Thank you. The first 3 days of our stay were complicated, the worst was the reconstruction in the building Nr. 5, which started the second day after our arrival and the hotel did not mention anything about it, did not excused etc. It was very noisy there, dirty on each floor. So we had to change the room after our own request. We received nice room in a nice location, so our holiday was saved. We enjoyed it very well, even though it was very busy on weekends, becouse groups of local people from near arria arrived to spend a day at the hotel and it's facilities. So during that time, it was very busy in restaurants, bars, pools, beach etc. The one think to management is to upgrade the room against the noise from outside. While spendind time in the room, you can hear everyone on the floor or from the next room! That was little bit disappointing as well as the quality of pillows. However after all I could recomment to spend holiday in this locations, becouse the atmosphere is authentic, I think due the the nice staff there. Thanks to housekeeping, restaurant staff, beach bar staff, and and last but not least Darihanna (fresh Pina Colada lady at the beach).

Needs renovating
I arrived later in the evening, and was directed to my room by Bell service. No introduction of the premises. After being taken to my room, I asked if they could assist me with the air conditioner of which did not work. Therefore, I was directed to another room. After being taken to the other room, I noticed a yellow substance in the toilet. I contacted room service to let them know this. They ended up sending a maintance guy who fixed the toulet but did not clean the bathroom. The next morning I heard banging noises outside at 830, I look outside and they are working on construction of the premises. I wake up to go to breakfast and realize the key to the gates to allow me in and out of the room areas were not working. Upon walking outside I was approached multiple times by event coordinators but explained I did not want to be bothered. Food - each meal was horrid. The breakfast did not keep temperature nor was the food desirable. Prior, I stayed at this resort and they used to have lobster, Shrimp, and all types of top cuisines. This time they had pork, beef and dry Plantains. Stayed a total of 3 days and room service came once but I asked for them to come back and they never did. The premises of the resort have gone down as well. Dogs and cats starving at the beach and the areas to sit down an relax need to be renovated as they appear old and worn down.

You must let Jose, Vianka and Juan treat you in their Asian and Mexican Restaurants. They know how to connect with your specific needs… we love their service. The food was delicious with good presentation, good music and excellent ambience.

Emotions All Inclusive Juan Dolio
The hotel was clean, bedrooms were large and staff were very friendly. White sandy beaches great to walk on and It is always a little windy on the south coast. I was disappointed that they closed the outside dining area Monday - Friday? I asked why and they indicated as it is not as busy during the week? not sure what that means? I came to the island to enjoy my meals outdoors and not sit in a cafeteria style environment indoors. Food at the beach was alright. Same menu every day. They could have changed it up a bit and had some other options. Did not like being approached about attending a "90 min" inservice on my first day on Time Share's which they assured was not but a " membership".
