Like having your own house in the walled city
This is a pretty different hotel - doesn't seem like a hotel at all, it's more like having your own house in the walled city. Location is fantastic - right in the middle of it all, but once behind the doors, you feel a world away. 3 - count 'em 3 pools, including two on the roof, which we had to ourselves both days. Breakfast is pretty solid and again, we had the huge dining room to ourselves. The staff can be hit or miss - at times aloof and at times very welcoming and warm - in fact, the woman at the front desk walked two blocks with us to get us into the right cab. Keep in mind the walled city is a tourist area, so the vendors are thick - go ahead and practice your "no, gracias" before arriving. Would be a great hotel to bring a large group and just take the whole place over. Only major ding - water pressure and temperature are terrible (but hey, it's Colombia).

Great Location, Comfortable Bed, Shower & Wifi Issues
I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. I'm a solo traveler. The location is great. It's on a busy street with several good restaurants and bars and is a short walk to the major tourist attractions. Depending on your room, you may experience issues with noise from the street and bars at night. I didn't have any issues since my room was in the back of the hotel. The room was nice and bed was very comfortable. I had difficulty with the shower. You had to let the water run for 5-10 minutes to heat up since it's an older building. It worked in the evenings and the water pressure was great. The water never got hot (or even warm) in the mornings. I also had issues with the wifi. It worked throughout the hotel, but wouldn't connect from my hotel room. The best thing (aside from location) was watching the sunset from the rooftop. The views are amazing and you can see across the city. The pools are not intended for swimming, but rather relaxation and have a few cocktails. Overall I would recommend the hotel and had a great experience.

Terrible hotel in a nice location / Hotel malo con buena ubicación
The room size was Ok, but it had a terrible humidity smell all over it. The A/C was working but could never cool the room and it was so weak that it could not reach the very warm bathroom. The shower had very low water pressure, and only mild warm water. Breakfast was very limited in variety, and you have to share one big table with other hotel guests. This hotel is located right next to a Bar/Club, this causes noises until very late at night. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Magical stay in the heart of the City!
This small boutique hotel gave us the feeling we were staying in a private mansion in the old city. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, three pools to lounge at and the most lovely bright and breezy room where breakfast is served. The staff (who spoke perfect english) were kind and helpful, we felt the service could not be better. We chose the superior room and found the bed to be big and comfortable, and the bathroom was big and bright. While the street is certainly noisy outside, the room we stayed in was completely quiet and we slept very well.
