Paradisus Grand Cana - Friendly Staff, Clean, modern and safe
The Grand Cana was new, modern, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had the concierge service, and our concierge was Ricardo Ceballo. Ricardo made all the difference from taking our stay as a standard vacation to an experience me and my family will remember forever. The resort, the décor, the staff and everything about the Paradisus Grand Cana was amazing. However, Ricardo made our stay feel personalized; his attentiveness, responsiveness and proactiveness allowed me and my family the time to enjoy the resort and all its amenities, instead of taking the time away from family and friends to figure out how things work. Once we asked Ricardo for something, we had peace of mind that either it will get done (like dinner reservations) or he is trying his hardest to make it work. The Paradisus Grand Cana resort overall gets a 9, however, with Ricardo's attentiveness and consideration, the Melia experience definitely deserves a "10"!!! A true 5 Star feel!

Steakhouse was our fave!
Alexander was so helpful at dinner and our family loved the steakhouse so much we dined there twice during our stay! Staff was helpful and friendly at every area. Rooms were very clean and SO spacious. The balcony was so big, we loved the layout of the room

Selective service
Overall it was an ok experience. It's hard to get a drink poolside. The waiters seemed to cater to a certain race and ignored the rest. Some of the staff is friendly and will acknowledge you and some don't. Treat all guest the same. Housekeeping clean the rooms and didn't replenish the towels. We called downstairs to get more and they never came we ended up having to wash up with hand towels. The pool was down two other days that we were there with caution tape around it. We were never greeted while sitting around the pool area but notice that the bartender or the waiter made sure that he went up to other people of A different race. The food was so subpar. We paid a lot of money to go to this Resort but was made to feel less than since we are not members. We went to the water park at 10:00 they told us we cannot enter until 11:00 because of us not being members.

A hotel I wouldn’t go back to
They don’t let you book any restaurant before arriving and when you arrive they say they don’t have availability and the restaurants are empty. You ask him for a wine and they give it to you as if it were an ice 😩😩😩 and when you drink it it looks like super bad experience Gasoline and it’s my first day…

Excellent service from arrival to departure. Very polite friendly, accommodating staff. Beautiful property.
