    AVOID NOT AS ADVERTISED

AVOID....Absolutely shocking place...iv stopped in better 2* hotel's. I booked a deluxe sea veiw room that was £200 more than the standard sea veiw room...but it turns out there is no difference what so ever....£200 down the pan. Room itself is very dated with a patio door that hardly opens ...I had to go to reception every day because house keeping would not do there job...either missing bath towels or coffee or mini bar not being replenished. Sheets didn't get changed in the 14 nights I was there. Say free WiFi.. but reception say it's broken and they are getting it fixed...2 weeks later still nothing...so book a data package if u need WiFi...more expense. And to top it all ..the hotel security areover the top...tried to charge me 250 usd for using a nicorette inhaler on the beach...anyone would of thought I had a gun the way I was treated...Absolutely disgusting treatment.

    Exceeded Expectations

Overall, this all inclusive resort exceeded my expectations. The location was great. In the middle of the hotel zone so it was about a 20 minute ride to the airport or downtown Cancun. There was a bus stop right in front of the hotel where you could take the public bus for only 12 pesos one way per person. Take the R2 bus downtown to go to Mercado 28 and 23 during the day for typical souvenirs and park las palapas for food and entertainment in the evening. I booked a private transfer to the hotel from the airport with eTransfers and it went super smooth. $30 one way for up to 3 people I believe. Didn’t have to wait long for my driver either coming in on a Sunday morning. The hotel called me a taxi on the way back to the airport last minute on a Tuesday afternoon and again it was $30 one way for myself. Taxi was great as well and there was no traffic. I left the hotel 2 hours before my flight departed to Dallas and I still had like 30 minutes to walk around the airport before my plane boarded! So I wouldn’t get there before then. Also, I did not check a bag in. I wanted to thank Pamela Juarez for taking care of me at check in and for getting me a room with a king bed and an amazing view of the ocean. Also, Alicia Marin and Jesus Salina’s at the front desk. The room was clean and simple but comfortable. It had a small balcony but not enough room for chairs. I know others got rooms in different areas and did have bigger balconies for furniture so it just depends on the room they are all a little different. I was on level 4 which is nice and if you go up to say level 6 you get an even higher view of the ocean. I think the ocean view is worth it here because the hotel is right on the beach and you can hear the sound of the waves when you open your door. Bathrooms were nice I like the stone/tile material though you can tell the hotel is a little older but well taken care of which makes all the difference. Food in the main restaurant was usually very good. I especially liked the street style tacos we had one night. And it’s open late. The food at the nicer restaurant called Albatros was just ok. We only had breakfast there though and it could be better. Though I did like the sweet breads they had there. Coffee could be better in my opinion as well but it’s not bad. There is a Starbucks on site but that is not included and they only take cards no cash. The pizza was good at the lunch spot next to the secondary pool which might have been my favorite since it also had a bar there and this pool has a nice view of the ocean you can look at while you are in the pool. Finally, the beach was amazing. Clear water and light colored sand. Plenty of chairs when we would go but we also just sat on the sand. The hotel provides beach towels as well. Though the one time I needed one they didn’t have any and told me it would be an hour so they need to get more towels. All in all I had an amazing few days and I would definitely come again!

Title: Horrible Experience – Poor Service and Terrible Conditions

My stay at Flamingo Cancun Resort was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. It started with painfully slow room service and a leaking bathroom ceiling in our room. Water was literally dripping onto my lap while I was using the bathroom. We called the front desk multiple times, but it took hours before they finally agreed to switch our room — by then, my sleep was already completely disrupted, and the staff showed no sense of urgency. The room they switched us to wasn’t much better. The phone was broken, and even though they said it would be fixed in one day, nothing was done. To make things worse, the shower was clogged, so I couldn’t even have a decent shower. It felt like one issue after another with no real effort to accommodate us. Then, to top it all off, as I was checking out, the supervisor himself told me I had to pay a $50 late checkout fee — despite the fact that I had arranged for a late checkout because my girlfriend had been in the hospital. A 40-minute commute for a medical emergency was completely out of my control, but they showed no understanding or flexibility. Between the poor service, maintenance issues, and lack of basic compassion, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

    FANTASTIC 😍

IGNORE NEGATIVE REVIEWS! I was skeptical but having just left after 11 wonderful evenings I can confirm cons: The buffet restaurant is small for the amount of guests, but you’ll get to know what times are busiest - longest wait I had for a table was 6minutes - there’s also the beach restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch, yet you do have to book for dinner the night before. The bars do get busy and you can expect a bit of a queue, especially later in the evening as the bar closes at 2300 pros: Room was cleaned daily w/ fresh towels All the staff are friendly and were polite, especially the waitresses who quickly remembered I liked a window table, and the bar staff. No cringey entertainment La Isla shopping Centre and the wheel are less than 10min walk If you want nightlife it’s around a 20min walk - although there is a bus stop outside the hotel. I had 12 days of 29c-31c and solid sun. The beach was maintained constantly by staff, and yes, THE HOTEL IS ON THE BEACH! I would/am likely to return again for another restful and peaceful get away. Thankyou @ Flamingo Cancun Ps I’m also a heavy smoker.. Like at home in the uk you can not smoke indoors or anywhere in the hotel grounds - but it is most exceptable to smoke on the street/on the wall, where all the smokers like to socialize and a great way to meet more people/nationalities or just to say ‘hola’ too when your about the hotel. Smoking in the outside mall is also not allowed
