    Beautiful Beach Getaway

So if you want complete tranquility go to their sister hotel in the mountains (Sensei) but if you want a wonderful pool and ocean experience, beautiful rooms that feel like you are in nature and one of the best Nobu's I've ever experienced, come here. You must go on the snorkel sail just to enjoy the boat. Everything at this hotel is luxurious. The only downside is you will see a lot of children (if you want to avoid them, go to Sensei) and the occasional Trump apparel (which I find completely distasteful at a place like this where you are spending so much money - keep politics at home, please. Thank you.) Other than that, you can't go wrong here.

Hotel pretty great but Loud locals blasting music.

Having been here in 2019 we wanted to try again. Booked a garden room at a good rate and upon check in was given a two room upgrade to an oceanview room on 2nd floor. For the age the rooms still look nice and clean and well maintained. Was given great welcome amenities as celebrating wife’s birthday. Was given a bottle of wine , chocolate cake and a cheese plate. Housekeeping was some hit and miss. Some days they did not empty our garbage and other days they did things haphazardly like not giving enough water or enough face clothes. One day we requested turn for 6:30 and they called me at 6:00 to see if they could come then. I was still getting ready for dinner. 1) Dining under the stars. Pricey at 1,500 per couple but you get to eat under the big hibiscus tree. Our server said this is Mr. Ellisons’s spot and only gets used for these dinners and need prior approval. Server was great and had a very good custom menu. Would recommend if special occasion. 5/5 2) we decided to try a pool sanctuary as were able to book the one for the above area where we had dinner. It took a full day to get permission before they could approve our rental for the day. I would not recommend this as they were unsure of what was included in the price. We showed up at 9 and did not find out until I complained that service started at 11:00 am. We had to ask to get them to set up an umbrella. Jay the manager came by after I fired off a chat to the front desk. He came by and advised what was included in the rental for 800 usd ( one champagne or four drinks, a fruit plate and choice of one appetizer and a Four seasons amenity) and that we could order some food over hay was included as long as it was not outrageous and he would sneak it in as an amenity. The Four Season amenity was two eyeglass cleaners and two aloe water sprays for skin. When the bill came nothing was adjusted and despite only having 3 drinks and not having our appetizer as we elected to have two mains and an order of ice cream we had to pay for all this extra food. I did not want to bring it up as He made the promises and thought He would follow through. Also, it was a Sunday and from 1:00 pm onwards some local yokels were blasting their music from the public beach area so loud you could hear it from where we were sitting from over 700 meters away. The music was so loud I could make out the words to all the songs. I realize this is on a public beach but this went on for four hours and someone could have called the authorities as it clearly states on Lanai beach rules that this is not allowed. This happened as well on the Tuesday but only for 1/2 hour. Save your money and avoid the sanctuary and do something else on a Sunday unless you like loud music to relax to. 0/5. Pool area 4/5. Staff hit and miss and best staff Carmelita, Jordan and Kamele. 3) shooting rifle range. This was a highlight. We were able to spend an hour with Frankie and he taught hot to use a 22 rifle and shot at targets. Would definitely recommend along with pistol or skeet which we did in the past. 5/5 4) restaurants. Mozza Osteria is now closed due to renovations until August. Ok Italian but would it kill them to give some bread with the meal. Nobu is basic Japanese food and nothing special. Malibu Bar overcooked our fish tacos and at night during the renos they have dinner and there was only 5 entrees of which only one was fish that my wife could eat. The Break is the best. Staff friendly and food ample. Menu big and I would suggest eating here everyday during any stay. Rest 3/5 but the Break 5/5 5) ranch hand experience. Awesome. Jessie the farmhand was great and you get to feed the crazy goats and massage the donkeys who just love this. This is complimentary. 5/5. Also do not forget to visit Griffin the parakeet. Stop by and say hello. Also, he loves music and will dance to it. Overall 4/5. Rooms still nice and quiet. Great selection of activities. Nice and quiet resort unless the locals blast their music but food not as good unless you eat at the Break. Will most likely not be back as too many other resorts to visit in the world especially for the prices being charged.

    Calming super retreat

This Hawaiian island hotel is an oasis of calm and beauty. You arrive via Lanair which is arranged by the hotel. It is a seamless transfer from Honolulu. The hotel is nestled in a magnificent secluded bay with amazing views of the ocean. Lush tropical trees and flora is everywhere and the internal finishes of the woodwork and art decorations are stunning. Food is covered by two restaurants, one is Nobu and the other is a Nancy Silverton italian restaurant. Each is very different and both are excellent, with good choices and lots of fresh fish, meat , sushi and pasta. Staff are exceptional, happy, efficient and there to help you with anything you need. There are 2 pools one is adult only ,which just means no children jumping etc. Nothing else to say...... just stay here for 4 or 5 days and let the calm wash over you. If you need to decompress and relax this is the place to do it. The beach is stunning, quiet, clean and you can order food for your lunch to be delivered.

    Can’t wait to return!

Amazing service from moment they greet you at hotel until they drop you off your every need is met. As mentioned hotel is very high-tech love the wristband for room key and all the room features. A most value added food outlet is The Break - the staff is super friendly and helpful and you can get everything from a latte and scone in the morning to a sweet in the afternoon or even an alcoholic beverage. Another highlight for us was the well equipped gym with the most amazing view and top-notch equipment. Don’t miss yoga on the beach - what a relaxing experience from the sound of the chirp of the birds to the crash of the waves.

    Didn't Want to Leave

This place is beautiful, the staff are excellent, and the scenery is amazing. We felt privileged to be here as a couple for a getaway from the kids. I spent most of my time at the beach where we had some rougher waves that I really enjoyed. We also enjoyed the Koi fish and parrots along with all the secret nooks to sit and relax in. We ate at all the restaurants and had a good to great meal at each. My favorite was waking up early and having an outdoor breakfast looking over the ocean. Thank you Four Seasons Lanai, we can't wait to come back!
