Excellent Must-See Tour
This was our first visit to Panama and we choose to take the full Gamboa Tour (three separate activities). It was well worth it. The Tram tour to the top was amazingly beautiful. Also, the boat tour around the rainforest was a great experience - we got to see live monkeys who actually came aboard the boat at one point. We were able to get some memorable pictures.

Wonderful experience
We had 7 wonderful nights at Gamboa Rainforest Reserve. We had high expectations on arrival and it didn't disappoint. I am so glad we had 7 nights to soak up the atmosphere of this hotel and its beautiful rainforest that slowly opens up to you. If you can make the effort to get up at dawn you will be rewarded by the sights and sounds of the rainforest. The best way to appreciate this region is on foot, so seek and you shall find. We found the staff to be polite and helpful Maybe a welcome drink on arrival and slippers and bathrobe in the room would be nice, but these are minor points. We hope to return again next year

A day spent surrounded by the enchanting beauty of the forest.
The hotel’s architecture was breathtaking, featuring a blend of contemporary design and classic elements that created an inviting atmosphere. From my room, I enjoyed a spectacular view of the shimmering river, where the sunlight danced on the water’s surface, making it a picturesque sight at sunrise and sunset. The room was surprisingly spacious, with a charming hammock offering the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings. However, I did encounter some issues during my stay. An unsettling, musty odor lingered in the air, detracting from the delightful ambiance. Additionally, one night, I was jolted awake by a loud bang as something abruptly struck the glass sliding doors, adding an unexpected layer of anxiety to the experience. Despite these inconveniences, I found the hotel possesses a unique charm and untapped potential that I appreciated. The service at the snack area was commendable, with staff serving refreshing drinks that were just the right option for cooling down after a long day. Unfortunately, the food left much to be desired; it was decent but definitely didn’t stand out. One of the highlights of my stay was the safari night activity, which was engaging and enjoyable for guests of all ages. It was a fantastic way to explore the local wildlife and learn more about the surrounding nature, making my overall experience memorable.

Amazing experience
It takes a lot to impress us as we travel so much, but this location is amazing!! A beautiful hotel in the middle of the rainforest, remote enough to satisfy our desire to see the wildlife, but with comforts of a good hotel. The staff made the trip. Can I thank the tour guides, who were especially fantastic, they made it such a memorable experience. If you're in Panama stay here and enjoy how beautiful it is and the overall experience. Thank you from @lexgo_travelling

Great Jump off to Canal, Adventures, and Rainforest fun
We had a blast at Gamboa. We opted for the all-inclusive option which was super convenient because we didn't have to worry about breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We loved having drinks in the evening and at the pool without worrying about settling up at the end. The buffet was surprisingly good - great breakfast fruits, locally inspired dishes, and plenty of options for kids and picky eaters. For the excursions, we LOVED the Gutan boat tour, the aerial tram, the pipeline train hike, and the sloth sanctuary. Tons of wildlife on all of these especially the hike - monkeys, birds (tucans!), and more. The pool is great and just walking around the property is really a time travel adventure putting you back in the early 1900s. A big thank you to Karlie and Astrid at the front desk and Erik and Nayomi at the bar for showing us fantastic hospitality. Hector with the tours was great too! Everyone there was super nice. Our room was a suite with a fantastic river view. I highly recommend getting a river-view room to watch the sunrise. Bed was super comfortable and the AC was on point! This place definitely has a throwback vibe and it's super charming. If you're high maintenance and expecting uber luxury, this isn't for you. This is more suited for laid-back people looking for adventures, excursions, and basking in a piece of history.
