    thank you

It was very delicious and the service was satisfactory. I don't usually see piano or ballet events, so it was new and exciting. The non-alcoholic drinks were also delicious and I'm glad I had the meal. I would like to use it again for some kind of anniversary. muy delicioso! thank you.MARIA

    Awesome

Great experience overall. The food and the fun were amazing. Highly recommend Going to the steakhouse. Ask for Julian and Alexander. These guys are pro’s and know what’s good. They knew exactly what was needed for our table and our dinner was perfect!

    Experienced resort review

Those who gave this a 4 or 5 stars likely have not been to similar types of resorts. We have been to approximately a dozen similar resorts and when we compare apples to apples, we give this resort a three out of five. Rooms: average size and great views, but the bathrooms have no fans for exhaust WTF. There are stairs in the middle of the room. Why would they have that? (See photos). The patio is terrible. To compare apples with apples we have had patios with hammocks even a hot tub a place to have dinner and a lounge. These patios have none of that and are inches away from each other. Ours had no divider. Pool. It’s not clear whether this is a resort for adults because there are no adult activities or for children. You have to make reservations for activities and only a few openings. Terrible!!! The kids have little to do. I have seen water slides and kids groups in other resorts. Also Ping pong and sports for kids the pool. This is a joke. The kids seem to play catch in the pool most of the time. But the pools are nice. There’s no infinity pool or anything spectacular but I must say that the pools are heated, which is a plus. However, you have to fight for a chair every morning and for that alone, I would not return to this resort. People get up at 4 am to put their towels out. We did reserve a cabana every single day and paid approximately $1000 to do that over the 10 days we were here, but it was well worth it There are also no hot tubs, which is a bit surprising. Activities. This gets a six out of 10 because there are no activities like many other resorts. There’s no volleyball on the beach even though it is in the schedule. We had to leave the resort to play pickle ball or tennis. The water activities like the skidoo or scuba or snorkeling cost extra so it doesn’t really matter where you stay. There’s no Zumba or dancing except for a few who reserve a spot and that happens inside in the gym. I should also add there’s no bank or place to change money and that is a very telling sign of a lack of sophistication of this resort we had to leave the resort to change money totally ridiculous We also had to wait in line for meals. No acceptable. The pluses are that there are no timeshare sales people or people hounding you on the beach and the people here are family oriented, and few singles looking to get drunk all week. That is a big plus. Nice families are here. For these two reasons alone, it may be worth staying here, but it is relatively boring And it is not up to par to most other resorts as it relates to activities and if you want to fight every day for a lounge chair then maybe this is the place to come. Thanks to Alejandro aka Joel and the waiter Samuel and the bar tender Gayter In the lower level bar for making the week fun In the end we are blessed to have had our family together and all of these issues are first world problems. But when you pay top dollar and have seen the competition—you know there are other options (like the Hyatt Zalara or Hyatt Ziva or Xcaret for example that will wow you and show you what a 4 or 5 star looks like)

    Excellent

This was a fantastic venue for a large family. We were a group of 19, The rooms are spacious and immaculate. Bed and bedding extremely comfortable. Many dining options and the food was abundant and flavorful. Many fun activities , great pools and the beach was awesome. Above all the staff was superb! They were caring, polite and accommodating. Just a few of the activities we enjoyed were Silent Dance Night, Fiesta Night, The Gelato cafe, Karaoke Christmas Dinner Show, The Light Show and Sip and Paint. Everyone wanted to make sure our visit was enjoyable, They were successful!! Special mention: Alexandro who went above and beyond, waited on us with a smile everyday providing us with nonstop food and beverages, Berenece who made sure daily we had front row beach lounges so we could enjoy the sun and sand, Alexis who managed and created the most wonderful beach dinner and experience with entertainment the last night, helping us to celebrate 3 of our birthdays, Abigail and Maria who were in constant contact with our travel agents (Embassy Travel , the best), planning and ensuring our vacation would be remarkable. Patricio, Manager of the Infinite Level, truly deserves special recognition. He went out of his way to provide wonderful events, experiences and accommodations and responded graciously to our many personalities and needs. He truly enhanced our stay and experience. Last but not least the General Manager of the resort, Alberto Gurrola must be commended for managing such a high caliber resort with an exceptionally well trained and attentive staff.

It took 30 years to stay here, and we enjoyed it!

We had seen the pool area over 30 years ago and I loved the coral pink towels, and now, over 30 years later, we finally came back to Cancun to stay at here for four nights. - An airport taxi can be $100. We were able to book a shuttle through the hotel for a discounted price. Unfortunately, we were told to wait and after 45 minutes, the guy in the blue shirt said he talked to his manager and we could be put on a small van with another couple going to another hotel. - Check-in was friendly and there was a nice man who was going to help us with our dinner reservation that night and explain the map. He also was trying to get us to attend a morning sales presentation, but at least it was not as pushy as the next hotel. - Tip: Make all your reservations the first night for the restaurants. There was only the buffet and hibachi open when we arrived. We ate at the Mexican restaurant twice, Italian, and Hibachi. There is also a separate sushi area in the Japanese Hibachi restaurant to book, steak house, and outdoor restaurants that we ate at for lunch. - La Joya Mexican was a beautiful restaurant with a mariachi band that came around to each table to play your request. Food and service was excellent both nights. As a side to one of the appetizers, you could order grasshoppers. Try the side of grasshoppers if you are adventurous. They were dry, crispy with a slightly earthy, green flavor. Not as gross as I thought they would be. Just concentrate on the texture and taste when you eat and not what they are. - The Italian restaurant also had an antipasto buffet as part of your appetizers. The eggplant lasagna was 100% eggplant with tomato and cheese, no noodles. I liked the ravioli better. There was also a nice salmon there. - The Hibachi restaurant was the type where the chef tells jokes and cooks in front of you. You get a sushi appetizer; entree of chicken, steak, shrimp, grilled vegetables, and fried rice; dessert. My husband enjoyed the meal and show. I wasn't a fan of the ginger-garlic sauce they used on everything and thought the meat was a tad dry, but this can be a fun dinner as a family or if you like to be entertained. - We enjoyed both outdoor restaurants by the pool especially Isla Contoy. - Buffet in the morning for breakfast had American food plus a wonderful variety of Mexican, Asian (tofu, soba noodles, seaweed), and some other international foods like a frittata. Mimosas were passed out while you were standing in line. There is also a free coffee shop with sandwiches, desserts and ice cream later in the day. - Big pools with swim up bars (close at 6 pm) and good pool service by the pool and on the beach. The beach is small but enough to sit and enjoy the ocean. - Room / ocean view suite was beautiful with a separate step-down living area with a L-shaped couch and eating table; balcony, and great bathroom with the sink in the corner of an L-shaped counter with plenty of room for all the stuff you might have brought. L'Occitane bath products including body lotion. Balcony with chairs and little table. American electrical outlets. Sodas, water, beer in the mini-fridge are included as are the snacks in the room. - Evenings, there was a live band (good), piano player, Celebrity impersonators (good) plus a Havana dinner and karaoke. A few vendors with stands are brought to the courtyard at night and the Havana dinner by the ballroom. - Day - there are activities each day such as exercise, paint and wine, margarita making. Make sure you scan the QR code at the front desk and keep the page open so you can see the schedule. You may need to reserve some of the activities at the Concierge. T - You are across the street from downtown Cancun with restaurants and bars. - This is a family friendly resort - lots of families with young children. Great stay and we would come here again!
