    Terrible!

A lot of smoke and mirrors. EVERYTHING is an extra! You have to pay $9 usd per day for a lock to your room safe which wasn’t even bolted to the wall. A painted tin box with a huge lock. Rooms are dirty and in desperate need of updating. We were here for 7 days. Elevator only worked once. We were afraid to sleep in the bed let alone shower. Shower water stunk. We tried to get ice for the room for our water that did not exist in our beat up bar fridge and we had to go to the bars to get it. 3 bars said no before one finally did. Pool towels are difficult to come by. We were supposed to have them in our room. Had to find the towel hut and was told to sign a book to get a towel but had to return them by 5pm. No seating by the pool! Lunch was terrible. All items left outside. Flys in ketchup. What u see or are told by the Sunwing people is just to get u to open your wallet. We paid for ocean view later to find out it was a standard! Ripped off! Im so upset!!!! Pool side was gross. Cigarette butts everywhere. They pushing to use their app for everything including booking restaurants. The app was so confusing and difficult to use. There are lots of restaurants and the major you had to pay for. Very disappointed! If you like spending your time walking around aimlessly or getting lost this is the place for you. Big waste of your vacation time. Was expecting more but obviously got so much less.

Not so all inclusive No loungers.

Just got back from Cancun Grand oasis. Why are there not enough loungers in this place. They need to double the loungers on the beach and by the pools Just so people don't get short with each other ,and the not so all inclusive ala carts just 2 out of 6. No free drinks in the casino again, not so all inclusive . The coffee place in building 4 was great and the buffet on that side too was great too

    Not an all inclusive

Food was terrible. Paid for room cleaning; sheets were changed and no towels. Ran out of water in the room. Used soda to brush teeth. As someone else mentioned, cocaine, vapes and pot sold at pool. Long lines to get drinks and bartenders requested tips BEFORE they would provide drinks. People had their phones and backpacks stolen from pool deck. Worst all inclusive I have stayed at.

DO NOT TRAVEL HERE ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE

First of all, DO NOT GO HERE, I PROMISE... I'M TRYING TO HELP, PLEASE DO NOT GO. 2) The food is absolutely horrible. I stayed for 4 days and lost 2.5 kg. I actually threw up after eating a raw pancake as my only meal because the rest of the options looked horrible. The restaurants are a rip-off and serve the same food as the buffets, prepared differently. 3) The drinks are horrible, and the staff has no incentive to help you. I speak Spanish, and the whole time they were badmouthing guests and laughing while serving drinks. They stop serving at 11, and it's not even worth it for the hangovers. 4) During my stay, someone broke into my room and vandalized the bathroom. I contacted security immediately afterward, and they did absolutely nothing. Aside from taking photos and leaving, after asking to move rooms or have the windows cleaned, they didn't do anything. Finally, the next day they came and decided to charge me $575 or they would call the police because they "DIDN'T SEE ANYONE ON THE CAMERAS," even after I requested the footage they wouldn't show me. Ultimately, they kicked me out of the room and forced me to pay $575 for damages I didn't cause. THIS IS A FRAUDULENT RESORT, DO NOT GO. 5) PLEASE, I beg you not to go to this resort if you want a good vacation. The entire place is designed to extort money from you based on the need for quality food, water, and quality service. I strongly recommend you do not go. P.S.: All of these 4-star or higher reviews are bots. They will never help you or give you business cards; they have no accountability and can kick you out of the room at any time and charge you for anything. I couldn't call the police because they are part of the resort and are corrupt. Basically, you are in a jail, and they are the guards.

Wish we had gone somewhere else

First the good: beautiful property. the property is big so there’s lots of options of where to spend your days. The beach, the party pool, the quiet family side. There’s alot of staff around so they can point you in the right direction for things. 5min walk to the maya museum and ruins and convenience stores. Was $20 taxi up to the central zone where the shops are. The wifi was decent throughout the property, not to stream videos but sending messages was good. There was a decent amount of chairs available, generally can still get one until 9am which is better than many, also, there’s lots of grass areas and sandy beach to put your towel down so even when we didn’t get a chair, we were still comfortable. We had a sunset view room which is the lowest category but I loved it. The sunsets were beautiful, and from what I could tell all the rooms were the same anyways. The bad: all the advertised amenities only apply to the pyramid status which you don’t know until you get here. There was also a $100 tourist fee on checkin, that’s excessive. Ive only ever paid maybe $10-$20 for 2ppl. I don’t know what that fee was for but it was a nasty welcome after standing in line so long too. No activities was a bummer, no bocce/bolleyball/cornhole etc. there was also no bathtub in the room, not a dealbreaker for us, but disappointing. The ugly: no coffee maker in the room?!! What?!! No blenders at the bars?!!! WHAT?!!! One bartender at each bar and no pool/beach service (also only for the pyramid) makes for very long lines to get awful drinks. Again, no blenders, I just can’t with that. Who goes to mexico all inclusive and doesn’t want a margarita or a pina colada! Cmon!! Edit:one bar had a blender but it’s in the beach club area so I didn’t know we could go to that bar. Beware the crazy drunk 20yr olds in this area though haha. One small elevator for the whole wing (about 300rooms). The second elevator was broken. Seldom got to use it, which is fine for us able bodied, many other people who couldn’t take the stairs had horrible waits. Food: general status only gets the buffet and one restaurant (bahia). We were only able to get in once during our 7day stay as it was booked all week so we were forced to eat the foul slop at the buffet all week. We are simple people who are easy to please but this was intolerable for even our simple taste. Every other resort we’ve been to, we seldom go to the restaurants and have always enjoyed the buffets. This was beyond bad. There are little/no options for any kind of dietary restrictions. Thankfully there was always fresh fruit available. Big topic of conversation amongst the people we met was how bad the food was. The lineups to check in and checkout are crazy. You need to download the app to make reservations at the restaurant and supposedly to request mini bar/housekeeping etc but I couldn’t get it to work and never got a restock of the water.
