18th time for a total of 251 days stayed at this Resort through the years!
Our 18 time from January 9th to the 23ed for two weeks for a total of 251 days through the years that we spent at this Resort. That is over 8 months. It was just as nice as our first time. For us everything was perfect, always happy. Met a few friends that we have met through the years. Martha at Helios days and Ose at night, Filomema and Feliciana at La Dalia, Noah night supervisor White Sands, Jacinto White Sands pool Bar, Marcelino at Secret Pool Daniel Colonial Lobby bar days, Irma Colonial Lobby night, Elvia Sports bar night. Elizabetha El Grand Azul, Alicia Hacienda night and Stephania days, Fernanda Churchill's bar, and now The Nest where we had all our breakfast and suppers. Our favorite Restaurant. Sylvia,Soledad and Fernando morning. Enrique and Cristian at night and of course lets not forget Capitaine Fernanda and Viridiana at night who welcomed us with open arms every night. All of the mentioned above are super employees!!! Hope we will make it to 19 visits. Just can't believe that some one would complain at this Resort. Again thanks to all the Management and Staff for making our stay so wonderful!

Great Riviera Resort
Very nice resort campus, lots of activities available, Long Beach and a very large pool. Delicious restaurants - including Sumptuari where Victor was a great server and David a very fun show chef and solid buffet options for breakfast/linch/dinner. I really enjoyed the espresso machines where one could quickly get a boost to keep enjoying the many things Grand Palladium had on site. Very helpful and engaging staff to assist with excursion planning (Eli was very helpful). Beautiful rooms and walkways, many covered, around a campus offering views of various flora, including many flowers, and wildlife (iguanas, agoutis, coatis, and even monkeys). A great choose for a Riviera stay.

Beautiful Resort, the Service & Staff was Poor & Unorthodox
To start off, as soon as my family and I arrived arrived in the hotel we're bombarded by the hotel staff to enlist in time-shares and other hotel experiences. When you arrive off a plane and head to a hotel, I find that very rude that your not allowed to check in first and get settled down. The hotel should better manage their greetings to people when they first walk in and check into a place. Then, we are given a room that is on the second floor which was an issue for my father and grandpa because of their walking capabilities. Also, this place is not very disability or elderly friendly because when we told the staff the issues we had with the hotel room they we're not very accommodating until, we practically had to beg them to give us a ground level floor. Then, we had wanted to upgrade to the family style because we did not know that they had better access to things then us and at first the hotel staff said it was available and then, it was not for some reason. The lack of communication and etiquette was very unorthodox. Another thing was that the staff spoke mainly spanish which was an issue for my family who we're english speakers. In our hotel rooms we had to practically beg them for towels in the room because the housekeeping would not leave us with enough towels when they cleaned which was bad. The washcloths we're ridiculous that they we're being so picky with giving them. If they we're short of them they should of just told us instead of blatantly lying about saying we gonna come and bring them and then not. I knew a little Spanish so, when I started communicating with the hotel in Spanish more is when they listened and abided by our needs which is totally absurd and ridiculous and not fair to people who cannot speak their native language of Spanish. The staff should be a-lot more versatile with their languages and should be able to speak multitudes of different languages and should not be treating people with more special privileges because of their Spanish speaking abilities. This vacation also did not have many interactive activities during the day which made the resort in the pool area very boring. the only main activity they had was volleyball but no, pool activities. The pool was made for very large people which is ridiculous when people are trying to get to the swim up bar because unless your 6 feet you can not walkover to the bar which is bad. If your not upgraded into the family plan it is impossible to get reservations anywhere except for the buffet. That is also disgraceful with the amount of money you spend on an all inclusive vacation. afterwhile, the drinks themselves started to taste way to water downed and then, it was causing me stomach issues at some point. The first night at the buffet from their seafood he made me really sick so, I wouldn't recommend eating raw seafood there if you don't have a good stomach since, it will make you sick. Another thing is during New Year's they didn't have any parties going on which was boring that you we're just standing around with watching people dancer the entire night. if you cannot walk or have issues with walking this is not the resort for you because they literally provide shuttle services since, our hotel was like many many blocks away from the main area of the hotel, pool and water. I will say that the resort itself was very very beautiful but, just the walking and long distance and staff did not make it great stay for us which is unfortunate. I highly recommend if you don't speak Spanish then,, do not stay at this hotel because you will not be treated with respect, dignity and a decent person. Honestly, I have no desire to ever come back to this place but, there are other Spanish speaker countries that will treat you a-lot better at their resorts like in the Dominican republic.
