Vacation
Stayed at the Grand Palladium Palace--we had VIP status so we used the pools and beach area that were exclusive to us. The food was OK-nothing great but all inclusives I think it is hard to cater to so many people. Great location right on beautiful beach.

The staff make the resort
The only negative I have to say is we had no A/C for our first four days. The staff checked on us regularly, made sure we had a fan to make it bearable and as soon as a new room became available moved us. Great food, great staff, great location.

Good value but some issues
We stayed in Grand Palladium Palace for the first two weeks of November. Overall we thought the complex was good value for money. It’s a large site with 3 hotels and guests use the facilities across the site, giving a good choice of entertainment and food at all times. We enjoyed the a la carte restaurants until we had a meal at the Bhogali Indian, which caused us both severe upset stomachs for the rest of the holiday. I am pescatarian and noticed very few vegetarian options in the a la cartes, so relied on fish options - this would be difficult for pure vegetarians. I was also frustrated at insufficient serving implements at all buffets - you had to use one implement for several different dishes. The drinks are good quality for an all inclusive, with lots of choice and a menu for every bar on the Palladium app (you need the app for everything). The system for getting drinks in the restaurants is that you request them from waiting staff, which is particularly frustrating at breakfast when drinks service could take a while and you have to try to attract attention for a refill. We didn’t have any difficulty getting sun beds and they provide good quality swimming towels whenever you want. A stand out positive was the wifi which was available everywhere. Most of the staff were friendly, particularly if you tip them! The room was a good size, with a huge comfy bed. The bathroom was very disappointing - the design is terrible with a big jet bath which is dangerous to climb in and out of. I couldn’t reach the taps or shower control without getting into the bath, and shower water collected all round the bath surround and leaked through the glass screen onto the bedroom floor. The jet bath only worked if I held the button down, which was impossible. The bathroom ceiling was a patchwork of damp and mould patches and the obscured glass door and screen joining the bedroom gave zero privacy, which wasn’t good after the Indian restaurant! The hotel’s own vendors try to sell you spa or special dinner options- even when you’re relaxing on a sunbed - but will go away if you say you’re not interested. The beach was nice and sandy but narrower than I expected, crowded and full of vendors. Finally, my husband was upset that the sports bar doesn’t show English Premier League football! Despite the issues, we would stay again if the price was right but would know what to expect…
