    Not Impressed at all.

Resort not so good. The booking online with Sunwing was great and our flight was great no problems as for the resort Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta which says it's 5 star I think sunwing should warn people before they spend their money by pressing"book" for this resort . THERE ARE ONLY 3 HOURS A DAY SUN AT THIS RESORT become of how the hotel is situated. You can not get a lounger beside the pool unless you put a towel on it before 7 am even though the hotel has signs saying you can't reserve loungers. Imagine spending this sort of money to sit on the ground which we did have too . There are no loungers on the beach so not much relaxing at this resort. The staff in the restaurants are very friendly and the room was very nice. The view from your balcony is spectacular. We were approached many times to go to a presentation (time share) to the extent of it being very uncomfortable. Buffet is just ok Italian restaurant good Mexican restaurant good. We will not return to this resort nor would I recommend anyone else to go.

PÉSIMO. No reserves aquí. Busca otro lugar. AWFUL. Do not book here. Look for another option.

English Below: I’m not even sure I have enough space to list all the flaws of this AWFUL HOTEL. FOOD OF POOR QUALITY AND SCARCE PORTIONS: It seems as if whoever cooks here must hate food. Everything is bland. They can even ruin a taco with greasy, poorly heated tortillas. But what really infuriates me is how miserly they are with the proteins. Everything is just carbohydrates, and the few proteins you do find are limited to sausages or poorly prepared pork dishes (by the way, filled with inedible skin or bones). They advertise, for example, “potatoes with chorizo,” featuring pieces of chorizo the size of grains of salt (I’m not exaggerating). Forget about finding any beef. Honestly, it looks terrible how stingy they are with the dishes. Not even their so-called “specialty restaurants” measure up. One night, when I ordered a pork shank, they literally served a bone bathed in salt. In short, a shoddy industrial cafeteria is ten times better than the “best” of their restaurants. And don’t even get me started on the drinks. You’ll find the cheapest bottles of alcohol on the market in their bars. AWFUL LOCATION: It’s a 20‑minute drive by car from the city of Puerto Vallarta. There’s nothing nearby. I tried to buy some ointment and had two options: drive for 20 minutes or purchase it at the only available store (the one in the hotel) for five times the price (150 at the pharmacy versus 750 at the store). Have some shame! UNCOMFORTABLE BEACH, WITHOUT LOUNGERS, AND IT DISAPPEARS WHEN THE TIDE IS HIGH: The beach is so small that most of the time the tide covers it, so forget about being able to sleep by the sea because THERE ARE NO LOUNGERS ON THE SAND. To make matters worse, the beach is surrounded by rocks that are truly dangerous if you like to swim near the shore. ONLY ONE POOL, JAM-PACKED WITH PEOPLE: Although they advertise several pools, only two are available to the public (the indoor one costs 750 pesos per person per day). Of these two, one has ice-cold water that NOBODY could use (the temperature was truly intolerable). As a result, everyone was squeezed into just one pool. LACK OF PUNCTUALITY AND DISREGARD FOR THEIR OWN RULES: They advertise “meals or special events” that always start late (by at least 20 minutes). Examples of delays include: a late room assignment at check‑in; a delayed start for snacks by the pool; and poor planning regarding the availability of the specialty restaurants (which, unsurprisingly, are also of awful quality). They have a rule against reserving loungers that NO ONE enforces (from early in the morning, all the chairs are covered with towels and personal belongings, with nobody in sight). ADDITIONAL LITTLE DETAIL: To top it all off, the “Concierge” who greets you—under the pretext of explaining the facilities—has nothing more than the goal of convincing you to attend a timeshare presentation. As soon as he realizes you’re not interested, his friendliness evaporates and you become just another mark. I recommend steering clear of this scam attempt from the very start. The only POSITIVE aspect is that almost all the staff are friendly. I believe they’re not to blame for such miserly and poorly organized management. Honestly, I suggest you book a hotel with a similar price that’s closer to the city—even if it isn’t all-inclusive. Believe me, you’re not missing out on anything, and you’ll very likely have a better experience eating out or bringing your own supplies to a better place.

    Son's wedding stay

By far one of my favorite destinations! We came for my son's wedding and everything went so smoothly. The staff were super to help with any requests or details, always so friendly. Carlos, Alfredo and Max quickly became our favorites! and took such care to We were able to wake watch right from the pool area. The restaurants and room service were both excellent and we tried all sorts of new cuisine. We observed the care and cleanliness they take to set up each day. Definitely recommend and will be back next year!

    The trip of a lifetime!

We had a relaxing stay and look forward to the next trip here. Sunshine, whale watching, swimming in the ocean, experiencing the culture, sailboat rides...too much to include here but a once in a lifetime experience! Above all, the service is amazing! Carlos and Alfredo at the Veranda are THE BEST! Much love!
