1 Star Food at 5 Star Resort
Just returned and I have nothing bad to say about the facilities, rooms, pools, beach, and for the most part the staff. Very special shout out to the staff at the Sports Bar, the entertainment staff at the Tequila Pool, and our housekeeper Jose who did a great job our entire stay! This resort has the potential to be an amazing hotel as outside of the Buffett and restaurants we really enjoyed ourselves. The food and the customer service however is not 5 Star. There is no quality advantage to the A La Carte vs the buffet. @ Mamma Mia and La Vaqueria, our meals were inedible. Worst part, when I reached to complain about the food quality, no one would do anything to address my concerns to improve our stay for the rest of our trip. We had asked if they could find us a reservation at the Miso Teppanyaki to replace an additional reservation at one of the above restaurants, and they refused and left me for multiple hours without reply. Note when it comes to the food, 2 of the A La Cares La Fondue and Las Olas were closed the entire trip and La Fleur was incremental $ (and was not advertised as such). The much hyped poolside taco stand was also closed the entire time. Overall, The Grand Princess is advertised as a 5 star; however from a food perspective it is far from it. I expected a lot higher quality culinary experience and when I approached to provide feedback, they refused to even acknowledge my concerns let alone do anything about it. I fully anticipate that someone will reply to this review saying that they will provide my feedback and file a report. Don’t be fooled, this is all they told me while I was an active guest and refused to do anything to improve my stay after 2 inedible a la carte meals.

Theft of all our personal items..
We had all our personal items stolen from our bathroom. Hair brush & products, toothbrushes & paste, shaving cream & shaver, deodorant, colognes, hoodie. We were told it would take 72 hrs to investigate and have had no response. Room 7052..

Best kept secret in Playa
First impressions .. The resort seemed dated at first but the more we learned about the resort it became obvious that the dated part was the charm of the resort. Do not be fooled by first impressions. This is a 5 Star resort. The staff here go out of their way to see to it that your experience is unforgettable. It’s a big resort, lots to learn, see and taste. You won’t be disappointed..

Disappointed
Some of the staff wasn't very friendly. The food was not good.. Tasteless mac n cheese. Not much thought put into the food. The bread was good. Eggs where nasty. Food was a big disappointment. Was easy to make reservations. The grounds were well taken care of and beautiful. It was a very large hotel, which I'm not used to. I did enjoy all the walking.

Sadly not feeling it. Very basic.
Broken tv. Scum ridden bath. And zero benefits cf going “platinum (you get room service but cheap beer and only snacks., hardly premium). The best thing is the wild life. They did come and bring a whole new tv. Shame when you just want to get to your room and relax rather than calls to reception, maintenance doing their best etc.
