Awesome vacation
What a wonderful hotel. We went there as a family of seven. We enjoyed our stay very much staff could not have be nicer. In particular, the weight staff were very professional and kind. Esteban and George, as well as the other waitstaff took good care of us. Even with the bad weather cold and super windy we still had a great time at Grotto Bay.

Wonderful stay at Grotto
I loved Grotto Bay! The rooms were pleasantly decorated. We stayed in the Oceanfront room which I highly recommend to be near the beach and pool area. The food was amazing. Every meal more delicious than the next. I recommend booking the meal plan. I liked swimming in the bay for hours the waters so calm. Visiting the caves was a bonus and so special to have on property. The spa was amazing! A great stay. I’ll be back!

Food Allergy comfort at its best!
The staff are very helpful and kind. The manager Mr DeBekker was very patient with all our questions prior to booking in reference to our families multiple food allergies. He wrote to us several times with options on how best to navigate our allergies and provide complete comfort for our stay. At the resort Chef Jeff went above and beyond to ensure our food was prepared without fear of cross contamination and to the highest standards. I highly recommend this resort for allergy needs and for their wonderful staff, accommodations and amenities. We will be returning!!

A Perfect Place To Ring In The New Year!
We came to Bermuda to ring in 2025 and Grotto Bay was the perfect location for our trip. There was a champagne toast in the evening, the staff was friendly and gracious, and there was a Polar Bear Plunge the next morning to ring in the new year! We didn't take advantage of the shuttle to St. George's because friends gave us a ride, but we appreciate that the hotel had a shuttle available so guests could see the Onion Drop at midnight without having to worry about transportation. We have stayed at Grotto Bay previously and always enjoyed the convenient location near the airport, but for this particular celebration it was especially fabulous.

Simply not worth the price.
So, with all the fees and taxes added in, we paid around $450 a night for our three night stay and while there are some positives, we don't believe that they are worth this kind of price. True, every place in Bermuda worth staying in will cost several hundred dollars, but we shouldn't have to put up with what we had to. And I'm not talking about the fact that our room and many common areas needs some TLC. From paint chips to walls not meeting the floor flush to old furniture in need of replacement, we can excuse some of it because this place offers some unique features. You can get a spa treatment in a cave and better yet since it's free, you can go swimming in a beautiful cave without leaving g the property. Beware that the water temp is quite cold. What I'm talking about is trash and dirty dishes strewn around the resort's common areas and worse yet was that the walls separating our room was so thin that you could hear everything (and I do mean everything) coming from the room next door. There was plenty of moaning and Halloween was 2 months ago. Things like that are inexcusable when you are paying these prices. So while, there same some neat things about staying here, they simply aren't worth the high prices you are going to pay.
