    Overall a good stay.

Breakfast was good. Quite centrally located. Staff was mostly friendly, especially Lucy. Fey was not that welcoming and quite rude. When we asked her whether sofa bed could be folded, she refused to entertain our request and said its not possible. Later, when we asked another colleague, this colleague politely said we could do it ourselves and it should not be a problem. We unfolded and folded the sofa bed ourselves, and it was not a problem. Although, the queen room with sofa bed is advertised for 4 people, it could be a bit small because these 4 people also come with some luggage. The sofa bed could be quite uncomfortable for some people. Room had good amenities, like toiletries, iron, iron board, etc. Overall experience was good.

    Updated Review

I initially left an “okay” review, but unfortunately, things have gone downhill since then. After a sleepless night due to windows that don’t open and non-functional air conditioning, we went down for breakfast at 8 a.m., only to find the following: • No plates, no cups, and only two hot breakfast items available. • Constant waiting for additional food items to be replenished, meaning something was always cold. • No fresh fruit and orange juice so watered down it tasted like plain water. Also eaten good just left around the food area ! To make matters worse, the staff, including the manager, were unhelpful. We were only offered a meager £20 refund, and I witnessed a staff member suggest to another guest that they could find another place to stay if they weren’t satisfied. If we had the funds to book our second night elsewhere, we would. We certainly won’t be returning.

    Great location, dated rooms

The hotel is situated in a great location, stepping of the tram and walking all of 30 seconds to the hotel, failing that a small 15 mins walk from Birmingham new street station, the digital key on the honours app didn’t work, but easily sorted with a physical key, we had an accessibility room, which gives you a wet room shower, sadly for us this meant the bathroom flooded, as the drain wasn’t working right, the water was only stopped by creating a towel barrier between the bathroom and bedroom, we did report the issue but I didn’t seem to resolve. The seat in the shower was also hanging on for dear life, which needs addressing before someone sits and takes a nasty fall. The staff were lovely, dealing with IT issues while keeping calm and professional, the hotel just needs some tlc, a new sign wouldn’t go a miss ethier.

    Excellent service & staff

We were here for a family trip & had an excellent experience from the moment we were checked in by Edu who was very professional & patient with us. We were served in the bar by Sheena who was very accommodating, polite & courteous to us. After a long journey it was lovely to met by two friendly faces who went out of their way to be nice to us. Thank you Edu & Sheena

Cynthia in 319 /The Place to Stay in Birmingham!

I read the reviews so I was a bit wary. We had an absolutely awesome time here! The staff was amazing especially Faye, she greeted us when we came in and she set the expectations for an excellent experience in customer care! Breakfast was great, hot and fast. The room was clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back!
