Feb 20, 2025Much better places to take your family
As usual, multiple problems with room. This time, no hot water, a broken bath fan, filthy balcony and bathroom floors, a toilet that barely flushed. Bell service non existent. You can wait hours to get problems resolved. However, the concierge will call you multiple times to "sell a timeshare" but are less responsive if you are not willing to sit for their sales pitch.

This was my 4th visit to Harborside at Atlantis. It is one of my favorite places. The service is great and staff very friendly and helpful. I love all the activities that are available. The water is amazing both the pools and the ocean. This time I went in February and it was a lot less crowded with fewer children. The summer gets very busy.

Lots to do, especiallly if you have children
Overall, Harborside, Paradise Island, our 1 bedroom premium in building #1, our meals at several restaurants (Paranza was superb), the snorkle trip we took and the Rise N Shine dolphin experience were excellent. The Atlantis billing system, however, was not excellent - they charge $100/day up front, then every individual day that you spend more than $100, they pend additional charges to your credit card. It's not your standard accounting system. This is very confusing and, hence, very important that you keep track of all room charges to ensure something that's not yours doesn't get charged to you. The Harborside fitness room is only basic - no floor mats and no exercise balls. The Atlantis fitness room, however, charges Harborside to use it. Groceries are best bought in Nassau at the SuperValue store that locals go to. It's a taxi ride to/from. Some taxi will wait up to 30. mins for you. Atlantis activities are very geared to children of all ages.

Guests BEWARE!! Their "FREE" Wi-FI is NOT free!! You will be charged $25/day and the front desk staff are TERRIBLE to deal with on this matter. They tried charging us for accessing and we never did! We had to provide ALL phones & tablets to show that our MAC Address was NOT the one that accessed their "free" wi-fi. Terrible customer service!

We have returned to Atlantis Harborside several times for many reasons for a couple trip. We love the ocean and being in a tropical place; however, we also like to have nice restaurants on property, shopping, perfect walking paths and a condo that looks over the waterway that ushers in the beautiful private yachts. The best reason to return to Harborside is Marva Martin and her team. She is a seasoned manager who does not miss an opportunity to make your stay better. We had water pipes burst in our room the first night. Marva promptly moved us to a room equal to the one we were staying just a few doors down to make moving rooms easy. She is the best. Even though we don’t cook, we love having the bigger rooms and luxury of a condo at Harborside. The Atlantis resort has so many good restaurants. Our favorites :Carmines and SeaFire. Don’t miss an opportunity to exercise not only walking on the beach but many miles without even leaving the property.
