    One and Done!!!

My recent trip to Cabo San Lucas started off beautifully, thanks to the intimate atmosphere of the hotel. Unlike the massive, luxurious resorts I’m used to in the Dominican Republic, this smaller venue offered a cozy vibe that I truly appreciated. The location is intimate and beautiful, which made the initial impression quite pleasant. However, my experience quickly soured due to the behavior of the concierge, Brenda. When I requested a larger table for our party of 15, her reaction was dismissive and unhelpful. Instead of accommodating a reasonable request, she chose to complain, completely ignoring the fact that my cabana comfortably fits that many people. She never brought the table or chairs I asked for, which was incredibly disappointing considering it is her job to ensure guests are taken care of. Brenda's who was at the legendary pool showed a lack of attentiveness was particularly glaring when compared to the other pool concierges, who were pleasant and attentive. Her unprofessionalism stood out, making our experience feel even more frustrating. As our pool concierge on our final day, her behavior made my experience as a Chairman member miserable. It’s unacceptable for someone in her position to treat guests so poorly, especially when we were paying a premium for our stay. The situation with pool games was equally ridiculous. My son was physically confronted by a guest while playing catch, yet instead of addressing that behavior, security decided to punish all the children by banning ball games in a so-called “child-friendly resort.” This made no sense, especially considering they sell balls for play in the gift shop! What’s the point of having adult pools if the adults choose to ruin the experience for the kids? If adults want a quieter space, they should use the adult pool—as that’s what it’s there for. The rules felt arbitrary and overly restrictive, taking away from the enjoyment of the children. The spa, while offering beautiful surroundings, was also a letdown. The hydrotherapy area was small and not as luxurious as I had expected. The water in the jacuzzi was warm, not hot, and the cold plunge was not very cold at all. Overall, the hydrotherapy experience was mediocre at best. Another downside was the nightlife, which I found to be quite boring. There was little to no entertainment or vibrant atmosphere to enjoy after a long day at the pool or beach. For a resort of this size, I expected a more lively scene in the evenings. On a positive note, we did have some memorable moments, including sightings of sea turtles, whales, and dolphins, which were absolutely beautiful and a highlight of our trip. My butler, Atzin, was a standout during our stay. He was the only one in the entire hotel who seemed to have common sense and genuinely cared about our comfort. Additionally, Isma was instrumental in ensuring that our week went smoothly. His attention to detail and commitment to providing us with everything we needed—from towels to food and drinks—made us feel like royalty. Despite the hotel’s capacity for at least 10,000 guests and a so-called legendary childcare program, they could only accommodate 15 children at a time. Why in the world would a hotel that charges thousands for timeshares limit childcare this way? It makes absolutely no sense. You’d expect better from a place that markets itself as family-friendly, but instead, we had to make reservations just to get someone to watch our kids even if we had spa services that were paid. When I finally went to replace my son’s room key, I was made to sign a release form for a $75 charge for a wristband that should be indestructible, like those used in the spa. It was frustrating to learn that this was the punishment for losing a card that clearly wasn’t designed to withstand normal wear and tear. Its a setup.. To top it all off, the entire hotel smelled like sewage. It was as if their septic tank was malfunctioning, and the stench permeated every corner of the property. This was not only unpleasant but also unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. Moreover, I noticed people entering the property without wristbands, at the slide of the lyric pool including individuals who jumped from the vacant beaches of Cabo San Lucas right into the hotel’s pool area while my children were there. This raised serious safety concerns. In conclusion, if you're a Legendary member, take your money elsewhere; it’s worth your while. Cabo was a one-and-done for us—never again at this resort. Overall, while the hotel had its charms, the service experience, safety issues, and the awful smell were significant drawbacks. I came, I saw, I conquered, and I will never return.

    Thanksgiving Family Vacation

Had the best week at Hard Rock with our family! Our butlers were Chetan and Jonathan. We had more interaction with Chetan who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was exemplary! Morning pastries, fruit and coffee were a perfect start to our day enjoying the ocean view from our deck. Jonathan did a wonderful job as well. Armand and Carlos at the Legendary pool were great! Always remembering our drinks and giving us top notch service. Looking forward to next year!

Amazing Thanksgiving Vacation at the Hard Rock Cabo!

Our family of four (boys 14 & 11 y/o) stayed for a week over Thanksgiving vacation and we loved every minute of our trip. From the quick check-in process (having our bracelets as room cards was so convenient), to the pool concierge help each morning, to the drinks and food; the service was exceptional. We've probably been to over 20 all inclusive resorts and this was easily one of the nicest and most organized. The resort always smelled so good, there were plenty of food and drink options around the clock, and in the morning I could easily get cups of black coffee and pastries from several areas around the resort. We want to give specific praise to many individuals. The Roxity Kids Club has the sweetest staff including Jacky, Ashley, Ximena, Zaida, and Sonia. Our 11 year old boy doesn't usually enjoy going to a kids club when we're at resorts, but he tried it on our first night and instantly met a friend (s/o Nico!). The ladies that run the place were so sweet to him, super accommodating, and he always wanted to stay longer each day. My wife and I loved seeing them take them dancing and do engaging activities instead of just keeping them in the room. It was always a fun time and our youngest loved it (and them!). We were almost in tears saying goodbye to them on our final night! Others that went above and beyond were all of the pool concierges (Lalo & co.), our cabana waiters (Santos, Israel & Christopher), and all of the bartenders at the Lyric pool. I highly suggest booking one of the two types of cabanas at the main pool (Lyric) due to how busy it gets and the amount of families that reserve a massive amount of chairs. You get shade, a comfy bed/couch, chairs & table, and top notch service. It was easily worth the $190-280 per day to not hassle with claiming a spot. However, if you don't want the noise and crowding of the main pool, then just head to the three smaller pools on the other side. Those seemed to always have room and space. Again, this trip was everything we could hope for. The outdoor Thanksgiving dinner was amazing. We have already begun the planning process to visit the Hard Rock in Riviera Maya as well as return here to Cabo next year. The only downside was the entertainment was hosted a little late for us early risers. We missed having local music acts in outdoor areas similar to what we've experienced at other resorts. However, that wouldn't stop us from revisiting this place next year. It was a top 5 vacation for us!

Best Vacation Ever for our family

Our family counts this as our best vacation EVER. We enjoyed HR Cabo: the resort, the location, and the people who work there. Special shout out to our two butlers, Danni and Raul. Both of them made things happen every day for us making all 12 of us in the family feel very special.

    Best Family Vacation Ever!

Just had the vacation of a lifetime at the Hard Rock Los Cabos with my family and two little kids. It’s family friendly and so many things to do around the resort. Some of the restaurants were spectacular, Zen was my particular favorite. It was truly something special to experience having butlers, Daniela & Raul, through the Legendary services. The two of them really work well together and made sure our every need, big or small, was met with a smile. What a highlight it was meeting them too, truly genuine and wonderful people. 10/10 would go back to the Hard Rock Los Cabos and if I ever have the opportunity in the future to experience butlers again, I would definitely want Daniela & Raul!
