  Good and bad

  Our vacation at the Hard Rock was overall average to disappointing. However I have to give kudos to the exceptional service we received from the moment we checked in. Dylan went above and beyond to accommodate our family's needs, finding us a larger room that perfectly suited our plans. Alma at the pool was a delight, always bringing a smile and positive energy. The room service was also top-notch. Each morning, Luis handled our orders with professionalism and ensured everything was accurate. The food arrived promptly, usually within half an hour, and was consistently delicious. For a review of the other on site restaurants I would say Ciao was decent and Fridas was okay but it lacked in flavor. Unfortunately the food at IPanama was even lower on the scale as the meats were dry and flavorless and the accompanying buffet seemed to have an array of strangely random foods. Additionally the setting felt like a cafeteria of sorts. But the worst in food and overall experience was at Zen. Food took forever, appetizers came out inconsistently during and after the meal. Several of us had food come out cold, undercooked, or rubbery. Despite sending it back it came still came back out cold again. Some of us just gave up and ate somewhere else. While these are the same restaurants as other Hard Rocks, the food branding is lost at this hotel. As an avid traveler, come for the clean rooms, heated pool, friendly staff, beautiful beach and friendly atmosphere but eat somewhere else (except for breakfast).

  Not the "Luxury Resort" we expected

  We just returned from Puerto Vallarta. We spent a week at another high end resort (not all inclusive) and then we tacked on 4 nights at the Hard Rock as we had heard excellent things about it. We checked in around 11:00 am and declined the request to attend the sales pitch. We were given our bracelets and told to come back after 3 to get our room, which we did. Our room level was a Deluxe Ocean Front room. The room was very small, which is fine, but it was in desperate need of updating and repairs. I called to ask for maintenance as one of the two light bulbs in the sink area was out and the shower door, which should have rolled in a track on the floor, had no track and after entering the shower, you had to put a hand on either side of the sheet of glass and force and scrape the glass door across the rough tile floor with all your might. No one ever came to address or attempt to fix the two things, so I just hoped the whole thing didn't shatter in my hands every time I used the shower. Maybe this room is reserved for those who don't attend the sales pitch! haha. Food - Meh. We upgraded with extra expense a few times. Service - about 50/50 with great service from some and indifference and rudeness from others, including one guy who was a manager of one of the restaurants. With so many resorts to choose from, I think Hard Rock needs to step up their game. Vibe is fine. Liked the music and energy at the resort, but don't need to return and wouldn't recommend. Beach is great and we got several beach walks in!

  Frida Waiter and Waitress Go Above And beyond

  Came to have dinner at frida's and it was amazing the service was top notch I was been taken care of by Natalia and golden great waiter and waitress her food was amazing and delicious warm and our drinks were always full always walked around and checked on us to make sure everything was good will definitely come back to eat here thank you you make my experience that much better.

  Hard rock. Vallarta is really just average not exceptional.

  I love room was nice I was a diamond ocean front balcony room we have visited multiple all-inclusive‘s. Hard rock Vallarta I would say is average , the food was OK ,the drinks typical. They reserve far too many chairs around the pool for members and rock royalty rooms. The highlight of our stay was a member of their activity staff Rocio. She was very pleasant, friendly, and a joy to visit with.

  Awesome experience

  We had an amazing time and the employees here are so nice! Our pool side bartender Alex was amazing and hardworking! We would come back again just because of him! Also our host Lucas was the best! We had beautiful weather and the food was also great!
