  Small but mighty

  This is a small resort, smaller than HR Cancun. But despite the size, the location is amazing. The weather, the balcony views, the beach and the service from the staff are over the top! We were fortunate enough to have Alex, Uri, and Francisco, our Butlers, taking care of us for the week and they were very helpful and quick to get us everything we needed. The Entertainment staff! Wow, do they work and always out in the heat! They are everywhere all the time! Hopefully the hotel provides them with sunscreen and long sleeve attire. Such hard workers! My daughter and I were not sure if and when they ever slept! Kudos and much love to Reed and Georgia for getting us involved in the pool and nighttime activities. We had so much fun this week! Another shout out to Mayber(spelling?) in Caffetto! Thank you for helping us with our late morning coffee and hot ham & cheese croissants! Restaurants…the food wasn’t the best nor the worst. I was surprised to learn that there was no hibachi in Zen as there was is the other Hard Rock Resorts. Also, if you’re familiar with the other HR Resort family, there is no Toro Steakhouse at this resort either. I assume the size of the resort just can’t handle having too many restaurants. There is Pizzeto out by the pool and Frida is open during the day for all the poolside grill and buffet options, both were amazing. Oh and our pool waiter, Gabriel! Thank you for keeping us well hydrated! We appreciate your hard work too! We highly recommend the Whale Watching in the small inflatable boat through Vallarta Adventures. We were so happy to be able to see a lot of whales and dolphins so late in the season!

  Excellent towel service hospitality

  Alma, was such an amazing staff member. She greeted us very friendly and welcoming each time we went to get our pool towels. She is very polite and helped with the questions we had about the free outdoor activities on the beaches. We appreciate her hospitality.

  STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

  We walked into the room and we were hit with an overwhelming smell of mildew. We didn't think much of it and just opened the door to the patio. We decided to relax in the in-room jacuzzi tub before we headed to dinner. We got the jacuzzi filled up, turned on the jets and black mold filled the entire tub while we were in it. This was the biggest issue about the room aside from dirty towels and dirty sheets which are easily fixed. Called down to the front desk and we were told that they would call us back. They never did. When we went to the front desk, we were told they didn't have any other rooms available except a downgrade to a lower floor. We were put right next to the party pool. Needless to say we didn't sleep that night and we left early that morning to scope out a different resort. When we arrived back at the Hard Rock to check out, we were asked to fill out a sheet of paper with what was wrong, we talked to 3 different people all claiming that they would not refund us our money for the rest of the stay (6 days, mind you we hadn't even been at the resort for 24 hours), denied that the black crap floating around was mold (pictures attached) and instead tried to offer us a certificate to stay at the Hard Rock again. Hard no from us. We do not want to stay at another Hard Rock location and we will not be back. I can’t wait to read the reply comment from Management that they copy and paste to each negative review. It will read something like: “Hello Sami 👋🏻, Thank you so much for contacting us. Remember we are here to help you solve all your inconveniences. Is there anything we can help you with? Can we please have your name and reservation number?” We have already talked to the customer service via email, phones calls and in person. We have disputed the charges with the bank. Overall, such a disappointing way to start the trip. If you're going to spend thousands to go to a resort, pick a different one. The customer service we received at other resort was 1000000% better than staying here.

  Great experience

  Great experience fantastic staff they are so friendly and helpful! Obed is an awesome server around the pool he’s such a hard worker and very friendly! Christy and Alma at the pool towel desk are so sweet and Moses at Ciao restaurant is hard working and so nice. All the staff is amazing, highly recommended.

  Wonderful Holiday

  We just returned from a wonderful holiday at Hard Rock in Nuevo Vallarta. The hotel caters to couples and families alike and is very accessible to all with ramps and elevators. It is situated on a beautiful stretch of beach. You can walk for hours along the beach. I did. There is no shortage of delicious food for vegans, vegetarians as well as those with diet or allergy restrictions. They have lots of choices for those seafood lovers and carnivores too! Breakfast and lunch in the Market buffet provide so many choices that it is hard to not overindulge. The staff in the entire hotel are very pleasant, engaging and accommodating. No request seemed to be too much. They are always smiling. A few of the staff that really made our stay even more special were, Victor in Ipanema, Edgar in the Market, and Sonia the chef who made the most delicious fish I had in some time. Also Cortez, a server in the Market who was always right there to help and Juan at poolside. Juan was always ready to help with any request at poolside. Our room was always spotless. Housekeeping were fast and efficient. Extra towels were never a problem. Being an all inclusive, they restocked our room bar daily with bottled water, snacks and pop and beer are also in the fridge and room service is 24 hours. The hotel and grounds are well maintained. They are constantly cleaning and refreshing rooms as needed. Thanks for making our holiday so memorable.
