    A Must Visit

We received the best service and care at this resort right from when we stepped into the lobby. Our butler Charly took care of all our needs for the week and was excellent. If we had questions he answered them right away and helped us with every request we had (including finding me the perfect Haven hat that was not advertised as for sale but he was able to get me one to buy). We spent a lot of our time around the Serenity infinity pool. Beautiful spot with excellent service. Victor and Samuel made sure we never went thirsty. We also spent one day at the round pool. Beautiful spot. And Geronimo was a fabulous server there. We had breakfast at Tahani every morning and it was excellent. Luis had such great energy greeting us and making sure all allergies were taken care of. Leo served us many mornings with a smile and friendly service. The buffet at lunch was delicious. I often had the fresh tacos with meat grilled right in front of me. We enjoyed all of the restaurants. The food was top notch! But we especially enjoyed the dinner night at Tahani! It was excellent!!! The singers and dancers were amazing, food was excellent (I highly recommend the salmon) and the servers had high energy. Probably our favorite night. Each night we stopped by the small mixology bar upstairs where Alessandro would mix up an amazing drink. He explained all of the liquors he was using and the infusions he created. His drinks were the best we got all week and were creative and an experience. We loved his energy and friendliness! We had a partial ocean view serenity level room. Wowzas. The room was so big and so absolutely beautiful! Lots of storage space, a dedicated area to do makeup, comfy bed, and a super large deck. Nicest room we have stayed in at an all inclusive. The fridge was stocked daily and snacks were also restocked daily. We didn’t really spend time at the beach. The sand was hard and there was a tractor going up and down the beach pretty much all day long gathering seaweed, but the pool setting made up for what the beach lacked. I would highly recommend this resort and would definitely go back!

Disappointing lack of shade on the beach; otherwise, a very nice resort.

We have been travelling to the Riviera Maya for over 20 years and have experienced all sorts of accommodations, from small, independently owned hotels to the largest luxury resorts. Nowadays, being "older", retired and able to do it as we love the area, we travel there 4 or 5 times a year. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Haven (first visit) and had a Serenity Club Master Suite Oceanfront - one of the nicest suites we've experienced and we've stayed at most of the Secrets, Excellence, Joia, Atelier - to mention a few. 1200 sq ft of modern, comfortable accommodations and a wonderful view, comprising of a living area, separated from a bedroom with two sliding doors (both areas having glass patio doors to the 32ft long balcony which had a table and 4 chairs, a daybed and jacuzzi), a very large bathroom with double sinks, vanity table, two closets and a huge double headed rainfall shower with seating ledge and a view past the bedroom to the sea beyond via the shower glass, plus a soaking tub in the middle of the floor. We enjoyed most meals (as at any resort, there's always something that isn't quite to our taste or comes cold!), with the breakfast buffet offering a large variety of options, both hot and cold. For lunch a couple times went to the buffet and had a nibble, and they appeared to have a very good selection (including a huge cold seafood option with shrimp, oysters, mussels). We also visited Vistas, which had a wonderful view overlooking the pool and sea. Had the crispy, shrimp mango salad twice and it was very good. For dinner we (we were there four nights), we enjoyed three a la cartes and the Tahani dinner/show as we were Serenity Club and it was included. We had late morning coffee each day from the coffee shop in the lobby, which also offers a selection of pastries and later on, sandwiches. Check-in and check-out took place in the Serenity Club, which also has a lounge area with a small selection of help yourself booze and wine and a serviced bar area. This bar seemed to have the "better" liquor, but still no single malt Scotch which was disappointing for my husband or 1921 Tequilla Cream, disappointing for me! LOLOL (most other "luxury adult all-inclusives" have it). They have an entertainment schedule day and night, with live music and DJs at the "activity" pool and as our room balcony overlooked this pool (suite 4310 - avoid it if you are looking for complete peace and quiet!), we enjoyed sitting on our balcony late afternoon listening to it (and all the "shenanigans" in the pool at other times of the day! LOLOL They have other evening activities, but no "shows" as such, like some other resorts. We spent time at the lobby bar and Mixology bar (very small, with limited hours and not much seating) and met some very nice people. We do not sit at a pool, beach only and as such, that's basically our only "con" at this resort and would prevent us from returning; there is not much seating at the beach with shade and some of it is not attractive - think old, sunken mattress bali bed type and not many of them either - the "towel game" was in full on mode at 6.30am!; a couple of umbrellas, some bali-beds with sheer curtains (I think for certain room categories; didn't enquire as they provide next to no shade); unpadded loungers that you could pull up under the palm trees!! For some of us with skin cancer concerns, not a good situation! The resort needs to build palapas, and lots of them, considering the length of the stretch of beach that the guests can use. The water is very murky in this area of the coast at all resorts all year and tends to get a lot of sargassum in season, but the sand is still lovely, soft and white. Kudos to our butler Carlos, who we communicated with via WhatsApp. Always checking on us, helping with maintenance issues, housekeeping times, making our dinner reservations and generally being super efficient and nice. All the staff we interacted with at restaurants, bars, housekeeping etc. were very efficient and nice and did a good job. If they were to improve the options and number of shaded seating areas on the beach, we would have no hesitation in returning or recommending Haven - otherwise, it's a no-go for us, unfortunately.

Amazing stay at Haven Riviera Cancun!

My partner and I had a 10 night stay at Haven Riviera mid March 2025. The stay was almost flawless from the entertainment, facilities, room cleanliness & supplies, food and service being very good! I can’t remember many names, however Levi went above and beyond, delivered excellent service and made us feel very comfortable. He is definitely a standout employee of Haven! The only areas for improvement would be the beach having lots of seaweed, so we didn’t use it, some of the meat in the buffet being a bit dry, the gym equipment - not all working which was a bit annoying when it was busy in the morning. Tips - bring mosquito spray and painkillers (shop is expensive). If you prefer a quieter Holiday, request a room round the circular pool, which is where we were (further away from the entertainment). Overall, we really enjoyed our trip and look forward to coming back in a few years!
