Unprofessional & dishonest
We hosted a large group here for our wedding. The hotel has yet to fulfill our contract guarantees (ie the comp rooms). It has been a struggle since July, and they lack professionalism in responding. I cannot recommend this hotel for room blocks. So disappointing, and I feel very taken advantage of.

Give them another chance - Please ask for an overall manager, high lever one who will implement changes
Where do I start? Overall a great resort. It takes some growing into, give them the chance,it's worth it. I stayed at the Royalton Hideaway for 4 days, off the request from my sister, who was celebrating a birthday. My first impression was, why are the glasses at the reception with the welcome drinks right side up, instead of upside down? Which ones are dirty, which ones are clean? I made a comment every day, but nothing was done. Everybody, for job security has to wait on their managers to make corrections, and that's understandable. The rooms were awesome with easy control near the beds, lights easily accessible, the shower temp, pretty good. The entertainment, top notch, one of the best I've seen. Let's continue with what's working well at the resort. Overall, though I was ready to write a negative review, and I'll get into why, some of which were corrected... So let's look at the positives.. Their Diamond Club. Upon invitation from Tasha, who was wonderful and because of her refreshing personality, We took the tour. Britani was awesome, explaining the perks of the program. Nasim was great, adding on value to what Britani had offered. Then there was the intimate culinary experience as a result of the tour. This experience started to change my opinion of the resort, that appears to hire some of the best in the industry. Starting with Harvas Smith, our knowledgeable, innovative, very memorable, enthusiastic wine connoisseur. Please please please offer this young man an opportunity of a lifetime in this resort. Harvas is the sort of resource you never want to lose, he puts 100 plus percent into his work, he is extremely motivated and enthusiastic.. He is the kind of employee who adds value wherever he works. extremely positive. During my entire stay, he facilitated one of the most positive and inspiring experiences. Your chef during our culinary experience was talented, Harvas would know who, and the waitress as well. We just had a unique, heart warming experience because of the three, lead by Harvas, who has extreme true leadership qualities. Then there is Calypso restaurant, again, best experience on the resort, aside from the culinary experience. Everyone on this resort should try Calypso. Well appointed, inviting, beautiful to the palate, nice dishes, representative of Jamaica and the Caribbean overall. This is a gem on the resort. Jeffrey, Theodore, Ashaasya, all very accommodating. Nows let's dap into what needs to be worked on..... Please revamp the buffet. We come to Jamaica for the food. Please serve quality food in the buffet and not the watered down trash that is served, especially the Jamaican side. Please stop making eggs with so much oil, enough to instantly increase one's cholesterol. Please stop adding sugar to the corn beef gravy. Stop serving half cooked rice for rice and peas. And please stop placing cutleries on the bare half clean tables...place cutleries on the napkins you already have. And the Jerk Pit (Pity)! Stop baking the chicken and trying to pull a wool over our faces. Bake but grill the chicken... Add some flame, smoke, whatever but remember, we are in Jamaica and this is one of the reasons we come! You're not getting bad reviews because it's all bad, but the food needs to be representative of JAMAICA! I spoke with two managers in the buffet area, and immediately they instructed the reception to turn the glasses at reception upside down, to differentiate dirty from clean. Because of the willingness to make corrections when pointed out, I would go ahead and give this resort a 4 star review. I travel a whole lot, I've seen many resorts, and 4.0 coming from me is truly a win. I would say if people are heading to this resort, give them a chance, speak to a manager about your concerns, let's keep them in business, there are some hard working people behind the scenes, doing their best to keep their customers happy. Beautiful resort overall. High five to entertainment, Calypso, and Culinary experience with Harvas.

3.5/5 rating
Pros Nice Beach: The beach was beautiful and well-maintained. Thatch Umbrellas: Plenty of shade provided, enhancing the beach experience. Clean Rooms: The room cleanliness was commendable. Good In-Room Amenities: Amenities were satisfactory, though some required asking. Great Pools: The property featured a variety of pools. On the Royalton side there are relaxing lazy river and a good size water slides and fun water activities for kids. Dual Property Access: Guests could enjoy facilities at both Hideaway and Royalton. Perfectly-Sized Property: The size was manageable and comfortable—not too big or too small. Cons Service Issues: While some staff were friendly, there were challenges in resolving guest concerns effectively. Delayed Check-In: Waiting until after 8 PM for a room was unacceptable, especially with multiple unhelpful updates about wait times. Lack of accommodation during a 4 hours wait! Would not provide a special request for a nice dinner to make up for the inconvenience they have caused. No accountability for their mistakes. No Non-Motorized Activities: Common offerings like kayaking or sailing were absent. Limited Tropical Fruits: A lack of fresh, local fruit options was disappointing. Weak Entertainment: The quality and variety of entertainment shows left much to be desired. Summary The property offers a great beachside experience with clean rooms, good amenities, and convenient access to pools and dual facilities. However, the service needs significant improvement, especially in addressing guest challenges and ensuring smooth check-ins. We did received great service from Chantal, who is the hotel concierge representative, she made our stay a little more pleasant. The lack of local fruits, non-motorized activities, and engaging entertainment are missed opportunities for enhancing our experience.

False Advertisement not Luxury eesorts
Hideaway Royalton Blue Waters fell short of the luxury experience that’s advertised. Here’s an honest breakdown of our stay: Rooms: The rooms were a major letdown. They’re small, with attempts at modernization, but they don’t meet luxury standards. Our initial room was poorly maintained, with cleanliness issues and an outdated feel. After requesting a move, the new room was in even worse condition—complete with a broken bathroom fan, visible mold, and neglected upkeep. The rooms simply did not reflect the quality one would expect from a “luxury” resort. Service: The staff, unfortunately, were often unhelpful and dismissive. We even offered to pay for an upgrade, but were told there were no rooms available. Strangely, it seems that if you opt into their premium membership for future stays, then upgraded rooms somehow become available. This left us feeling misled and dissatisfied. Premium Room Issues: This wasn’t just our experience. Other guests in the premium rooms shared similar complaints, including leaks and other maintenance issues. Some were so frustrated by the lack of attention from the staff that they left the resort altogether. Resort Grounds and Amenities: The resort grounds were lovely and well-kept. The family-side rooms at Royalton Blue Waters seemed to receive better feedback, but the adult-only Hideaway rooms need serious improvement. Dining & Standout Staff: One positive aspect of our stay was the food, which was excellent throughout. A few staff members were also fantastic and deserve special mention: Lanacha at Royalton Fit was incredible, Samantha and Amari at the front desk were helpful, and Ajay at Zenith restaurant provided wonderful service. Final Verdict: The advertising here is misleading—this is not a true luxury resort. Given the high cost, we were disappointed and won’t be returning. For those seeking a genuine luxury experience, I would suggest considering other options. Photos Attached: I've included photos to highlight the condition of the rooms as further evidence of these issues.

Beautiful resort, great food but horrible customer service.
Beautiful new resort, excellent and varied speciality restaurants with friendly waiting staff. Good entertainment too. The buffet was just ok . The reason this resort doesn’t get a 4 or 5 stars is the poor customer service from the front desk and guest relations The whole process of dealing with the front desk, during check in, or having to ask them a simple question was arduous and you always felt like you were disturbing them. Same with guest relations. They were utterly unhelpful, would almost seem bothered that you came to ask them for help, would just try to give you a run around rather than helping you out themselves. Housekeeping was consistent, rooms were cleaned daily. Poor room service when it comes to asking for simple requests like a dental kit or an iron. Be prepared to either not get those or to ask multiple times before you get those.
