Quiet Corner
Nestled in a tranquil corner of Cartagena, the Hilton Cartagena Hotel provided an exceptional retreat during my stay. From the moment of arrival, the attentive bell staff ensured a seamless welcome, while vigilant security measures offered a reassuring sense of safety. At check-in, I was warmly greeted by Esteban, who acknowledged my Hilton Honors membership and thoroughly detailed the amenities available to enhance my visit. The housekeeping team was consistently responsive, promptly attending to requests and ensuring that my garments were impeccably laundered and returned in a timely fashion. Throughout the property, every staff member exhibited a genuine willingness to assist, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to outstanding service. The combination of a serene location, dedicated personnel, and comprehensive amenities culminated in a truly memorable experience.

Unexpected Hilton status
Room clean, but bathroom with mold and cord for clothes to dry moldy. Services in the shops area very poor quality (manicure and pedicure instruments to do nail dirty, bad Costumer service, employees eating ice cream). Very dirty beach a lot of soliciting people. Beach lounges moldy … pool tiles lose and some missing may be future foot cuts! a lot of maintenance to do!

Warm Hospitality in a Beautiful Seaside Setting
We are still enjoying our six-night stay at Hilton Cartagena, and it has been a wonderful contrast to Bogotá. From the moment we arrived, the staff have been incredibly welcoming and friendly. Yes, some areas of the hotel, such as the pool tiles and external façade, are a bit tired, but everything is kept immaculately clean, and the service more than makes up for it. The front desk staff have been exceptionally helpful, always happy to provide recommendations or print out documents when needed. A special mention to Valentina, whose infectious smile and enthusiasm made us feel safe and well-guided in this busy and vibrant seaside city. Her list of personal recommendations has been spot on—so far, we’ve especially loved Alma, but the on-site restaurant was also a convenient and decent option for our first evening. Breakfast has been a highlight, with attentive staff preparing fresh egg dishes and a fantastic fruit juice bar. The variety changes daily, and we’ve enjoyed trying local flavors such as stuffed arepas and traditional breads. One downside compared to Hilton Bogotá is that the airport transfers are outsourced to an independent tour company. Despite being a Diamond member staying for six nights, we were taken straight to their office upon arrival and asked to pay immediately rather than checking in first. The payment links provided beforehand didn’t work, leading to two of our cards being blocked and a frustrating experience resetting them. The atmosphere in their office was less than welcoming—definitely not the sunny, friendly vibe we’ve experienced elsewhere in Colombia. The service was efficient, and our driver, William, was charming, but we would strongly recommend using Uber instead—it’s half the price, reliable, and trackable. We opted not to upgrade to an executive room since our high-floor sea view is already stunning. The room, while slightly dated, is exceptionally clean, and we were still given lounge access, which was a nice perk. Overall, Hilton Cartagena is a fantastic choice, offering a beautiful location, warm hospitality, and a relaxing stay. If management can fine-tune the transfer experience, it would be even better. Looking forward to the rest of our stay!
