Efficient Staff and Great Location
We stayed 7 nights, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Embassy Suites Waikiki Beachwalk. Our check in was very efficient. Erick at the front desk was very conscientious. We changed rooms, as our original room had no balcony. We really appreciated Erick working with us to find suitable room. We were also very impressed by the efficiency of the happy hour and breakfast staff. There was very little standing in line time. They really have it down to the last detail. Both happy hour and breakfast staff were friendly and engaging. We enjoyed our time by the pool, especially our one day with the cabana. We were afraid that it was going to be crowded and guests would be playing th “put the towel in the lounger at 6:00 AM” game, but there was no need. There were plenty of loungers available. The location of the hotel, as mentioned, is perfect. You are literally steps from just about everything in Waikiki. I am a Marriott lifetime Titanium, and my wife is a Hilton Diamond. The differences that I found between the two brands were the fact that Titaniums get better upgrades and later requested late checkouts. Hilton still seems to be a bit chincey in that respect. We were given a one o’clock checkout, but I’m used to having a more generous late checkout with Marriott. Overall, the stay was fantastic, and we’ll make this an annual event for us.

Lower your expectations
My stay went much worse than my expectations. From the photos and reviews, this hotel looks like an upscale hotel, but it's not. It's an old hotel that was not maintained well. The common areas are in a bad shape, and dirty. Rooms are smelly. Our room had a bad dampy smell. The bathroom was old. The ventilation system in the bathroom was not working, and when we take shower, the rooms stays humid all day. We couldn't open the balcony doors because there is hotel's restaurant below the hotel, and it creates bad food smells all day. The hotel keeps the emergency exit doors open all day, so that bad food smells enter the hallway and enter the rooms all day. The breakfast was really bad. It was like a school canteen breakfast with only a few items. Happy hour was bad, with just ready mix concantered drink coctails. The pool is very small. I know Waikiki is expensive, but don't spend extra money here, if you need to stay in Hilton properties, just go to Hilton Holiday Village, which has much nicer common areas. This hotel is just a apartment. We hoped that it'd be a nice stay for our holiday, and paid much more than alternatives, but the service we encountered dissapointed us.

Great hotel and great location
This place is amazing, the rooms are fantastic and the included breakfast is so helpful with a family. This is going to be our go to hotel from here on out when visiting Waikiki. Highly recommended! Also 2 free drinks per adult per night stayed is a sweet bonus. The location can’t be beat and the staff are great.
