Best Luxury Hotel in Waikiki
Overall 5 stars: Hands down the best luxury pet friendly hotel in Waikiki! From the exceptional service to the personalized details that made my stay an unforgettable one. Service 5 stars: Upon arriving to the valet, we were met with warm greetings and had our bags unloaded by the guest service team. We were then escorted to the elevators that took us to the front desk. We were greeted with refreshing cucumber mint water and pineapple and star fruit jelly candy. Once we were checked in, our bags were on the same elevator going to our room. No waiting around for our luggage. Upon entering our room we discovered a special and personalized experience. There was a "Happy Birthday" Brownie in the refrigerator and plushy stingray for the little ones. There was also a dog bed and dog bowls already in the room for our dog. There was also a box of Beach Brittle and souvenir Ka La'i water bottles. Amenities 5 stars: Our room had spectacular floor to ceiling window views of the ocean and the Waikiki coastline. The balcony had glass railings that made it safe for our little dog to go out on. Full kitchen with Wolf appliances and an enormous refrigerator. There was also a Nespresso machine that my wife used daily. The luxurious amenities also included a deep soaking tub with a window that could be opened toward the master bedroom. There was a separate shower that had the best water pressure. All in an Italian marble bathroom. The toilet seats were heated and had a bidet. There was also a washer and dryer in the room which made it convenient. There are many more that there is not enough room to list them all. Location 5 stars: The Ka La'i is right across the street from the beach and the walk is a beautiful and short one passing the US Army Museum. There are many great places to eat and shop within walking distance of the hotel. I would say all within a 5 to 10 minute walk of the hotel. If you are staying with your pet, there are grassy areas all around the hotel and a nice park to take a walk in across the street. Cleanliness 5 stars: This is a big one for me. From the Grand Entrance to our guest room, everything was spotless. I can't stand rooms that were not cleaned properly. The cleaning staff were very pleasant and helpful, asking if we needed anything, anytime we passed by them. And they all did so with a smile. This is our favorite hotel to stay at in Waikiki and we will definitely be back there soon. If you want an unforgettable experience in Waikiki you have to stay at the Ka La'i.

Room 3102 Best Hotel Stay we’ve ever stayed at!
Room 3102 - Best Hotel stay we’ve ever experienced! We celebrated our upcoming November, December and January birthdays by staying st the Ka La’i LXR Waikiki. We can’t say enough about the service we’ve experienced. The valet people, the front desk staff, the breakfast staff were all friendly and helpful. Our two bedroom suite was excellent. We loved the floor layout and the fully equipped kitchen. I’m not a swimmer but I really enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi and the chaise lounge chairs. The king and queen beds were very comfortable. If we have another opportunity to come back we’d choose the Ka La’i again.

Great staff! Fantastic stay!
Not only are the views spectacular, the staff is too! The concierges, valets, and pool attendants were friendly and helpful, always with a happy greeting. The beds were so comfortable, the rooms spacious, and the food by the pool was really good. It's a minute walk to the beach. It's a few minutes walk to shops, convenience stores and restaurants. We spent our mornings exploring the island, afternoon siesta by the pool, and walking Kuhio beach area in the evenings. Want to specifically mention Jason, one of the valets. He had great local info for us, and was absolutely charming. The valets are the first staff you encounter when you arrive, and the last when you leave....I've never met friendlier. Kudos to this group!

Rm 2503
The hotel staff is great! However, the pool is too small and the hotel apartments are a bit run down. The sheets had holes and were rough. The cooktop is old electric which half of it was not heating right. The drapes’ condition was like a motel, where you grab to open and close was all grey and dirty. They say Hilton is to do a serious renovation on the entire hotel, so there will be construction noise. I guess I will not return till after they are done and has improved the conditions.

Excellent but outdated
It used to be Trump tower and it was changed to LXR Hilton. All units are a bit outdated but I could see they have a upgrades to start soon. It is a residence, meaning you have a kitchen in your unit. As all residences the F&B is limited in choices, but it is not a problem as it is located at the heart of Waikiki with a lot of F&B to choose from. Staff are nice and service from valet, concierge to housekeeping is professional and efficient. The only main downside is the swimming pool, disapointing for a large building like that. Overall excellent stay
