    Hilton Los Cabos 60th Birthday Celebration

    We were so blessed to celebrate my 60th birthday at Hilton Los Cabos. First of the all the staff are amazing! They were so helpful and very detail oriented from the start! The location is beautiful with a walking/swimmable beach and our plunge pool room was so amazing. The party setup was like a fairytale and all the people we worked with (photographer and DJ) were fantastic. Then their attention to all of our food allergies including nuts and gluten was beyond helpful. Will tell all my friends and family to vacation and have special celebrations at the Hilton Los Cabos for sure.

    Complete rip off

    My wife and I come here for vacation. The room is clean and comfortable. The view is great, but the sunlight is gone from the pools after 3pm because of the layout. Pool water temperature is hit or miss, and the staff weren’t willing to fix it for some reason. The food is very delicious and high quality. The hotel staff do a great job in general, and are attentive. The hotel is well maintained. However, while free amenities are nice, the amenities for a fee are crazy expensive. I mean, CRAZY. And I come from San Francisco, where everything is very expensive ¯_(ツ)_/¯ The food/drinks are way more expensive than New York City. Starbucks starts at USD6. Bottled water starts at USD5 for 400ml. Breakfast/lunch can easily be close to USD100 for two. Restaurants don’t provide free water. The meal plan is USD242 per day per guest for 3 nights minimum, and only includes cheap drinks. The meal plan has lots other restrictions, not clearly stated, and you have to ask. For example, it only includes 400ml bottled water, not the big 1.5L bottles. This is how cheap the hotel is. It makes us feel the hotel is trying to rip us off for every penny. It's quite uncomfortable. Never had such experiences at a resort. Front desk experience is meh. Check-in was warm at best. At checkout, they messed up the folio twice and overcharged us. Stood and waited at the counter for another 10 mins before they fixed it for us. They also charged us tips that we did not agree to pay. We did not feel welcome as we did at other 5 star resorts. Service quality also varies a lot. Staff is great, but it seems their processes are poor. On different days, you might just have different experiences. But to be clear, the staff really try their best. I think the problem is the management and the training, as it normally is. If you don't care about money AT ALL and you are okay with inconsistent quality of service, this is a great resort for you because the food quality and the view are great. Otherwise, do your research before you book this resort.

    Great Stay at Hilton Los Cabos!

    Recently stayed at the Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort. I have nothing but amazing things to say about my experience. Every restaurant was amazing, the grounds were beautiful, and the staff were incredible! Omar who works in the bar was great! Fidel was my absolute favorite person! Other staff that were beyond helpful include Danahi, George, and Thomas. There was also a wonderful man that brought my room service. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name. I really have nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff, the property, and my experience at Hilton Los Cabos!

    Deluxe Tequila Tasting with Julio

    I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the deluxe tequila tasting in the Hilton Los Cabos. I’m not a big drinker and am pretty much considered a lightweight. Our bartender/instructor Julio was passionately knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and fun. It was $92 per person and we got to sample 4 generous pours of tequilas. Learning about the history of tequila has changed my outlook and I have so much more respect for the product and culture. It’s worth going if your partner/party can sling back the shots that you don’t finish. Make sure you have something in your stomach before going! I did not have the courage to try the grasshopper covered chocolate. The hotel overall had excellent staff and service. Our concierge Oliver & Emil went above and beyond. I recommend the ALTA MAR (VIP) package which includes a lovely continental buffet every morning. The food in this hotel was delicious. A little pricey for the portions. Vela was our favorite restaurant. Fernando (who resembles Brad Pitt) was our spectacular sever who was always smiling. He & his assistant catered to all of our needs and was absolutely welcoming and hospitable. There was a live 2 person band that was entertaining. We ended up ordering drinks after dinner to stay longer just to enjoy their performance. There was an expected power outage during one of our days. Unfortunately, it lasted longer than expected. 8A-6PM was on the notice but our lights, outlets, TV, phone etc in the room didn’t turn back on until 10:35PM! I couldn’t see/do anything. All in all, we still had a great time and I definitely plan to visit again. It was so nice to be able to just walk down to the beach. The water was refreshing.

    Great but costly

    Our room was great, each meal we ate on property were fantastic. The place is very spacious and well laid out. For a romantic couples getaway, I would say this place is perfect. Now for the negatives. The distance to Cabo is a $60 round trip uber. The price of the food and beverages were crazy high - like Hawaii. The views out the sides of the hotel are nothing to write home about. The hotel next door was a little loud with music during the day, but somewhat tolerable. Again, for a romantic, leave me alone getaway this place is great assuming you can afford the prices. The staff is extremely nice and very helpful and took care of all our needs. Just a little pricey
