Great experience at the Hilton
The best thing about the hotel is the staff are all so professional and friendly. We were greeted by the wonderful Ana, who told us about all the amenities at the hotel and the best way to get to our concert venue. We were served in the executive lounge by the very attentive Michelle, who kept checking we had enough food and drinks. Lovely atmosphere here and well laid out. Rooms are super clean and the floor to ceiling windows give amazing views of Manchester. Breakfast was busy and I could see people waiting to get seated. Plenty of food being replenished despite the crowds. It was a pleasure to stay here and we will be back.

A reliable hotel choice in Manchester
This is the fourth time I’ve visited the hotel now and service has been consistently great. This was the first for a personal trip rather than business and as a diamond member we visited the lounge. Service in here was also incredibly friendly, snacks on offer and a full range of drinks (visited on a Friday evening). The room was spacious, clean and modern and there was plenty of choice at breakfast. Location is fantastic.

No quiet space to have a drink and chat
We booked one night and expected to be able to have a quiet drink when we got back to the hotel around 10:30pm. There’s one bar Podium, next to reception which doubles up as the breakfast/dining location too. We couldn’t believe how noisy it was, there were disco lights and very loud music. There was a party booking in Cloud 23 so we’d not be able to reserve a table in there but I think the group had also taken over Podium too. It felt like we were gatecrashing someone’s party. We had one drink but as we were unable to hear each other, left after a short time. We just wanted to sit quietly and chat but couldn’t. Breakfast is extensive but as I can only eat gluten free was disappointed that there weren’t any pastries/croissants only cheap long life gf bread rolls in packets. Also the sausages weren’t gluten free.

Get to the executive lounge
Wow, this was a magical stay. We’ve stayed here before and it’s been good, but this time it was fantastic. We were in a room with executive lounge access and this really has to be done. Great views and setting, lovely food and wine and simply the best staff who made us feel so welcome. Massive thanks to Michelle and Melody. Their interaction made this trip so special. If you’ve ever thought about paying that bit extra for the lounge, do it . The rest was really good too. Great staff at the desk as always and super nice and efficient. Breakfast as always superb. Can’t wait to be back in May.

This used to be a landmark Hilton, not anymore.
Seriously poor service. I’m a Hilton Diamond member and I’m one of the easy going ones that don’t expect the moon on a stick. All I want is a comfy bed and half-decent service. You may get a comfy bed but that’s where it ends. Service is truly dreadful. I asked for a bottle of water to take to my room in the exec lounge and was told “I’ve had enough of opening the fridge, I’ve closed it off” by the lounge dragon. Arriving back at the hotel at 11:04 and was told the bar had closed and that I had to order room service via a QR code in my room. The room service on line system said that there was a 50 minute wait. When I questioned this with reception the lady said we’re busy, there are lots of bars outside. Eventually got a drink but retired to my room and the aircon didn’t work. This used to be a landmark Hilton, not anymore.
