Bad
I deeply regret spending my free night reward at this property. The price of the room that we booked would have been almost $500. We have stayed at 5-6 hilton properties the last 2 weeks and this was by far the most expensive and the worst. Cons -The rooms and hallways look about the same as an old motel from the 90s -Fireplace was not working when we arrived -Pack and play was not in the room as requested and we had to remind the team several times to have this brought up -Dinner and breakfast were grossly overpriced -Late checkout of "30 min" given for diamond status even though employee the day before said noon checkout. -Fridge was missing a leg and wobbled every time it was opened/closed -Charged $20 for parking Pro -The employees and housekeeping staff were friendly and courteous -Free laundry service

A pretty sour experience
Being on a road trip we decided for nostalgic reasons to make a detour and spend a night at the hotel. Given we had a great time here several years ago we loved to savor it again. Unfortunately many things were disappointing at best. 1) Food. My wife took pork belly which is her favorite dish. Not sure what happened but afterwards she had to throw up . Definitely a bad and also unique experience 2) Prices. Everything is horribly overpriced and I noted extras are charged left and right. Honestly we are staying at better Hilton ( & Marriott) hotels for a much better price/quality ratio 3) Concierge & reception. Not sure what happened but the concierge lady was simply annoyed when I approached here for advice. At check in I was taken care of till a call came in. Without any excuse and/or explanation I had to wait several minutes. Isn’t standard practice to ask the caller to hold till the current customer is taken care of. Being a lifetime ( = pretty loyal) Diamond member assume I can make a proper honest assessment that this stay was a sour note on our trip.

Surprises
I am really offended by hotels that add resort fees and parking fees. With the Hilton Sedona the resort fee is $38.28 and self parking is $21.27. Adding these as a way to get more than the guest is expecting is just wrong. Just be upfront and include it in your room price and quit the smoke and mirrors. I will think twice before staying again. Thanks.

Great Location
Friendly and helpful staffs. Very attentive during checkin, Recommended us for an upgrade with fireplace at the balcony. We paid for the upgrade . Issues like the inside fireplace and microwave not working were taken care very swiftly. A little overrated for the balcony fireplace (my opinion). Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock.

Fantastic Experience with Outstanding Customer Service from Melody
Booked same day as Gold Member and reached out to the front desk via the chat option in the app. I’m a light sleeper and gave my preferences to Melody in front office. She went above and beyond to accommodate me but upgrading my room and preblocking within 15 minutes of reaching out. I slept well and had a great stay. The property is very well maintained and had a fantastic stay. Thank you for a great stay and experience.
