Best kept secret gem of a hotel.
My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa. The check-in process was welcoming, setting the tone for a positive stay. Everyone we encountered was warm and pleasant. Our ocean-view room was clean, and well-appointed with modern amenities. I was impressed with the space planning and the cheerful use of yellow accent colors, which added a lot to the atmosphere. Housekeeping was attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. We enjoyed a relaxing couples massage at the onsite spa. We splurged on daybeds at the pool, which were very comfortable and provided a relaxing oasis. The poolside food and drinks were good and reasonably priced. I appreciated the friendly and efficient service from the pool staff. I also loved that there were restrooms conveniently located on the pool deck. While the prime rib buffet offered pleasant service, we found the quality of the food to be underwhelming for the price. Being a block away from the beach offered a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, free from the noise of beachfront activities, while being close enough for quick access. Overall, we highly recommend the Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Waikiki.

Enjoy your stay—if you dare!
We were there to enjoy our honeymoon for 10 days: **Short Version:** Four stars? More like a cosmic joke. It’s a solid 1-2 star experience. Save yourself the trouble and run! **Pros:** 1. **Location:** Sure, it’s a stone’s throw from Waikiki Beach. Perfect for when you want to flee the hotel and never look back. 2. **Convenience:** They’ve got that hot/cold fountain water for when the tap feels too mainstream. 3. **Valet Service:** A bright spot—these folks know how to park a car. 4. **Housekeeping:** They do a decent job **Cons:** 1. **No Points for Hilton Members:** Book through Costco? Say goodbye to those precious Hilton points. It’s like they’re punishing you for being thrifty. 2. **Outdated Facilities:** Welcome to the ‘80s—dust is practically a decorative feature. 3. **Misleading Ocean View:** Get ready for a sliver of ocean blocked by skyscrapers. Mostly, it’s a parking lot panorama—what a steal! 4. **No Microwave:** Need a microwave? That’s $50 for a week. Might as well cook on your car engine. Oh, sorry, forgot you can’t access it, go head to tip the valet to bring it down to you. 5. **Laundry Facilities:** Dirty machines, $4 a spin, and your clothes remain a soggy mess. Who needs dry clothes anyway? 6. **Parking:** - Valet-only for a mere $55/day before tax. Because self-parking is so last century. - The valet drop-off is a circus act—good luck not getting trampled. 7. **Balcony:** Tiny, dirty, and equipped with two flimsy chairs. Prepare for an uncomfortable, non-private balcony experience. 8. **Sofa:** A masterpiece of stains and wear—a living exhibit of neglected furniture. 9. **Bed Bugs:** Because nothing says luxury like sharing your bed with critters. 10. **Refrigerator:** The fridge is a relic and the closet door doesn’t close—adds to the room’s historic charm. 11. **MAC Restaurant:** Greasy food, undrinkable coffee, and servers who can’t be bothered. A 20% discount? Still not worth it. 12. **Resort Fee:** Reduced to $20 from $45 via Costco, but still a scam. The so-called amenities are a joke: - DVD rental with a selection from the Stone Age. - Magic shows that make your money disappear—$100 a pop. - Strict rules for basic amenities: one free towel/chair per room; more? Pay up $15 each. 13. **Dirty Ice Machine:** Ice with a side of grime. 14. **Hairdryer:** Moldy and disgusting—just what you wanted. 15. **Bathroom Lights:** Ingeniously designed to keep the bedroom illuminated all night—who needs sleep? 16. **Shower:** Water temperature surprises to keep your shower experience thrilling.

Book another hotel
Overall the hotel is ok but not as well kept as other Hilton’s we have stayed in and some management leave a lot to be desired. Our check in was quick and easy after a 21 hour delay, Dexter who checked us in was lovely and first impressions was very good. The hotel is tired in places and most of the draws within the room were broken and falling apart, booked a room for 4 people but had to keep asking for towels as kept leaving 3. The pool area was well kept and my son loved the complementary crazy golf and games available around the pool. Breakfast AVOID at all costs, we paid for breakfast and it was shocking during our stay they changed from the MAC restaurant to the buffet, the options were very limited. I have a 5 year old son and as with most children they can be picky eaters, the one day for breakfast on the hot options they only had scrambled egg which tasted powdering and not very nice, bacon, waffles that had gone all hard and rice, not child friendly at all. Cereal was corn flakes, bran flakes or muesli, there was some frozen berry and strawberries that had seen better days and all bruised and squashy. So I asked for some sausages has they had been available the day before initially was told yes and then the food and beverage manager came over and declined to give my son any sausages, I explained my son isn’t the best eater and there is nothing else he would eat eventually after a lengthy conversation they agreed to do some sausages. After a frustrating breakfast experience I returned to my room and a general manager called my room, I tried to explain the situation and the manager Henry Perez started to shout at me saying there is not a standard of breakfast at Hilton hotels, he wouldn’t allow me to speak and I put the phone done as his tone was aggressive and intimidating. Whilst I was informed there isn’t a level of standard at Hilton, from my experience there is generally a good level of service which wasn’t experienced here. I did raise my concerns about it’s with another manager Joselyn and she did apologise but unfortunately Henry her boss never did for his totally unacceptable tone and behaviour. I have works in customer relations for over 20 years and are very conscious there is a way to speak to people and this was not it, I could have understood if I was nasty but I wasn’t. The main staff and great and I would suggest Henry takes a leaf out of their book!

Worst Hilton
Terrible stay . Hotel was old and dated . We had breakfast included but the lines were so long we gave up and purchased breakfast outside the hotel everyday . The pool was full of people shoulder to shoulder every day and was closed twice to people throwing up in it . Would not recommend this hotel . Staff seemed over worked , this is the worst Hilton I have ever stayed at hands down. Location was good

Great rooms, views, staff, and location…just avoid eating here!
A perfectly acceptable and enjoyable Waikiki hotel with lots to recommend a stay here. Comfortable rooms and beds, jaw dropping views. of the water and beach from the room and the balcony which can only be described as memorable. Fair pricing as well for the location and amenities. Staff were warm, friendly, and always helpful and courteous. A convenient location to the beach and nearby shops served us well. I would have given it another star were it not for the mediocre (at best) restaurant where we had breakfast every morning and a lunch. Having stayed here once before, the on site restaurant at that time was terrific. Sadly, those days are no more. Mix ups in the kitchen on multiple orders, a pizza that tasted like it came straight from the freezer before being baked, etc, left us with a bad taste, literally. the wait staff were great. The food was not. We had free breakfast and I usually never complain about anything “free,” but I have to make an unfortunate exception at this hotel. Just eat somewhere else and you’ll have a great time.
