I enthusiastically give Holiday Inn Financial District 4 stars. The rooms were modern, sizable, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was terrific and service was good. The location was desirable about 10 minutes from Casco Viejo and anything else you would want to see. The hotel shows its’ age a bit in the hallways which had dated carpet as well as faded and chipped paint. Overall, this is a great option!!

Hotel with good location in the financial district of Panama. The location provides facilities for restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacies close to the Hotel. Old construction and the rooms, despite having two double beds, are small. There was no minibar, which I found very disappointing. In the room we stayed in, the air conditioning system made a lot of noise, which made it difficult to sleep. Basic breakfast with breads, eggs, juices and traditional Panamanian foods. All hotel staff were friendly and attentive from check-in to check-out. I especially thank the reception team (Luis, Viviam and Shany) and the restaurant team (Yoanna and Edwin) who were very kind and attentive to me.

Great Location
This boutique hotel is located in the city center between Via España & Calle 50 in the middle of the Metropolitan area/Downtown which is magnificent! The breakfast is great. The gym is good. The price is good and it has parking in the back of the building which is great. The room and the bathroom were clean (no black mold; yeah!): The only downside is that I notice that the hallway on the 12th floor smelled of humidity a bit since it has carpet (not good for humid climates). The air conditioning system in our room did not cool much which makes me think that the HVAC system has not been replaced in the room since the hotel was built, or perhaps: it is in need of maintenance.

This morning after booking and confirming a wake-up call for 4.30 am as a backup to my own alarm, it did not happen. Had I not had my own alarm, I might have missed my international flight. On talking to the receptionist he asked if I organised it. Really? would I really call you at 4.35 for a quick chat? I then asked if my breakfast to-go was ready at the reception desk. Something that I confirmed as well. He asked me if I organised it. Really???? what do you think? That I randomly call you this early in the morning to talk to someone, twice?????. To add insult to injury he then informed me friendly that I could get something at the market at 5.00 in the morning. Then to top it all, on my request to get the money for a breakfast paid for but not received, he informed me that he had to escalate it to his supervisor who would get on duty at 8 am, when I had already left the country. Not a hotel I would recommend at all.

A Gem in The City
The Hotel is well maintained and tastefully decorated, the restaurant is good and the breakfast offering is fair, and the staff are very welcoming. I loved being there and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I do recommend this hotel; right in the city and gives one an opportunity to tour Panama City whether walking or using guided tours.
