Nice place for downtown access
Great access to Atlantic Ocean, beaches by beachfront resorts. Warm water and lots of sand. Restaurants nearby for dinner

Very friendly but hotel needs work
The staff was great and very accommodating. However, the halls need a major update. The flooring was very disgusting. There was air conditioning units hanging out of ceiling carts were left in the hallway for cleaning. I would’ve not walked on the hallway. Floor is barefooted because it was not clean at all. The rooms were in very good condition. I had no problem with that. The elevators are very small. I had two bags and the second person could not fit in the elevator with me with my two bags. Also, while we were there for the most part, only one elevator was working. There is no parking outside so you have to pay For valet.

Meh
Very average hotel but expensive prices. The corridors are dirty and ours had a whole aircon unit hanging down (see photo). Ok for a couple of nights but not if you want somewhere special to stay. Breakfast is 'free' but pretty grim. For these prices I was hoping for something much more upmarket.

Standard HI Express, good location.
This was a pretty good Holiday Inn Express, although granted, we paid in points vs cash, as Condado hotels are not inexpensive. We stayed one night before an early flight. It was really clean and nice with free tea and coffee (although empty). They had some construction in the hallway. Although our reservation was clearly for a family of four, they only gave us 2 bath towels... The AC wasn't super efficient (very humid room), and a lamp kept blinking in our room until I unplugged it. The beds were comfy, though. The pool was nice, as was the ability to get a seat on the beach (for a while, they closed on us). The check-in person told us they would have to-go breakfast for us prepared because we left before 6:30, but it was not, and our Uber driver was left waiting while he prepared the bags, so that was rather stressful. But still, it was nice to get some food before the flight, although we had to scarf down the apples b/c fruit cannot leave the island. Overall, it was a decent HI Express.

Great Spot to use Points
Good hotel. Nice rooms with comfortable beds and AC that works. Very pleasant front desk staff. Their beach club is a wonderful amenity. A short couple of blocks walk to the beach and you're provided with beach chairs, umbrella, and a towel. Weak breakfast with an odd system that requires you to ask an attendant for your food. (?) There is no fan in the bathroom which is a shame given the humidity levels in San Juan. The cheapest rate is still very high, and then the taxes and fees really up the price, so if you have the points, use them.
