Nov 08, 2024Worst 2 night till 12 pm
Breakfast was great at the pool the first day , the second day was at the rest, quality of food, and service was great What was not good is that day close the pool service at 4 pm the best time of the day to be in the pool because of private event the worst part was the loude music antill 12 pm it was the worst and we had this for 2 night wich make our rest impassable for 2 night

May 02, 2022What a disappointing first night in Nicaragua!
I booked this hotel because of the great reviews, the time our flight landed and the convenience of being close to the airport. We arrived late at night and their shuttle was not available so I was told they would have a taxi waiting for us to bring us to the hotel. That never happened. Upon arrival - no greeting from the woman at the front desk and the atmosphere was not welcoming at all. She explained nothing to us and only asked for payment. I had to ask for water, amenities information and the time that breakfast is served. The rooms were comfortable, I like the three beds and they have AC. My husband however, made the mistake of looking behind one of the bed posts and there was tons of hair, dust and dirt accumulated for who knows how long. It was awful! In the morning - same, no greeting from a different woman at the front desk. To top it off - they were supposed to refund $50.00 back to my credit card. As of today, no refund! So on top of being rude, they also keep the money that they say they are going to refund. Pros - bellhop was extremely nice and helpful and so were the gentlemen working in the restaurant in the morning. Other than that - I would stay far away from this place. Or maybe because we are latinos we are treated differently than other guests. We will never stay here again and we were very excited to be here as this was our first trip to Nicaragua.

Jan 29, 2019One of my favourite hotels!
Because of the low price that we expected to pay, we weren't expecting Hotel Agualcas to be an outstanding hotel. We were pleasantly surprised! Friendly staff, a nice little pool, and clean rooms, as well as comfortable beds, made our stay at this hotel very enjoyable. It was also great that they had free wifi. It was also really handy for our early morning flight because it was so close to Managua's international airport. A great choice if you're ever spending a night in Managua.

Beautiful new hotek
The hotel is stunning , clean and new. The pool area and snack bar are beautiful and lots of room to cool Down and relax. The rooms are basic but have everything you need with modern finishing. The food in the restaurants are outstanding and exceeded our expectations!

Great spot in a terrible town
Let’s start by noting that I was told Managua was a cesspool. Once we arrived at the airport I realized this was true. Hotel Agualcas was a shining beacon in the night. It was clean, comfortable, professionally run, and very classy. Relative to its surroundings, I would rate it 7 stars. It’s super close to the airport and has private security. There’s a nice pool, a bar and a restaurant. The bathrooms are contemporary and the mattresses & pillows are soft. If in Managua Again, I would not not hesitate to book a room.
