May 26, 2023Stylish place for tourists or business
We stayed at Hotel Contempo on a couple of occasions recently while visiting friends.What an oasis! Stylishly beautiful premises, cute pool for doing laps and each room was different but swish, very comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful including with transfers to and from the airport.

The facilities are nice BUT they are lacking good service, It’s just just not there. Let me tell you from the beginning this place is NOT LGBTQ friendly, I spent a night here with my partner and the staff was very rude and kept looking at us in a very judgmental way, nobody gave us that welcoming feeling you expect from a place where you visit for the first time specially if you’re paying for the service and expect great things. From the beginning there were many issues. As a 5-star Hotels Forbes Trainer I can tell you they need to fix many things 1. The front desk staff is NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE about packages and what’s included in the price I booked my reservation online and never received any confirmations nor any details via email, I had to call the hotel and ask for them to process the reservation. Again the front desk lady knew nothing about it and had me call Marjorie? For more details. 2. They did not give me any details about breakfast when checking in and we missed it. The front desk Lady was rude and dismissive she did not provide any details about the services and where to find stuff around the hotel. 3. They did not give us the welcome cocktail 4. I asked for a different wine than the one included in the package and even though they couldn’t change it for free, they still did not offer me another option even as an extra cost, which I would’ve pay for if offered 5. During dinner, the server was so worried about 2 men enjoying their romantic package that she messed up my order and brought the wrong plate (never apologized for it) 6. The servers at Azul are rude and just not welcoming. Customer Service it’s just not present, it’s just plain rude and horrible service. In the end they have the facilities and they’re nice but they’re lacking great staff and great service. NOT recommended at all specially if you’re local, if I ever come back it might be just because of the American set up they have in most of the facilities but not because I was happy during my stay.

Perfect Atmosphere and Customer Service
The staff are friendly and bilingual (english and spanish). They are attentive to all of our needs everytime we come visit Managua to update our tourist visas (Covid-19). The grounds are immaculate and we love the peace and serenity of the outdoor areas. The included breakfast is a great touch as well.

Open for business!
We stayed at Hotel Contempo a few years ago so when we had to travel back to Managua it was a great choice. Plus, so many other options are shut down. The manager was welcoming and friendly and everyone spoke English. Although it was quiet, as expected, it was still lovely. The pool and gym were great, and they even put a mini-fridge in our room. Within walking distance is the supermarket, beauty salon and restaurants. During these Times of Covid, we felt safe and walked out happy. Well done.

Beautiful and Relaxing Hotel
The Hotel Contempo is our favorite Hotel when visiting Managua, not only the Hotel has an elegant Restaurant that serves great food but, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. I particularly enjoy the garden and the little gazebo, which I used every morning for my daily meditation. The Staff is very Professional and helpful, special Thank you to Margorie, Marlon, Angelica, Edwin, Carlos and the Cleaning crew, they all make you feel at home. The location is ideal, you will find a grocery store (La Colonia), A professional coin operated Laundry with nice AC in "Las Praderas" Shopping Center, and many Restaurants and Coffee Shops, all within a ten minutes walk plus, the National Zoo is only 5 KM from this Hotel, which we highly recommend you visit and, the Masaya Volcano only 10 Km. Once again, we recommend The Hotel Contempo for short or long term stay. "The Mango Suite" is our favorite, there are other Suites that are as comfortable. The Hotel Contempo is the place to stay when visiting Managua.
