nice pool.

worst sales people on the beach outside this hotel. very agressive... lousy policy about me bringing home a guest.she had to return. needed special documents. next night she had the correct documents,and they used 20 min to check her through. i checked out the next day and got a more nice hotel in the same street. nice breakfast.great pool.very boring after 2100.like dead

Overwhelmingly loud music. Very disturbing. No rest. Don't book here

I am right now in my room on night one of a four day stay. I will never book this hotel again. There is some type of party on the beach with music so loud that it is overwhelming. I have never heard anything this loud. Constant, overpowering, drum and bass thumping. I have called the desk twice and they are completely disinterested in the problem. He simply said there is a party on the beach as if it is a common occurrence. Don't book here unless you enjoy this kind of irritation. It is miserable. This must be disturbing hundreds of people in this town I am a half mile away from the source.

Excellent experience!!

Everything was excellent, clean organized beautifully, excellent service. One advice to have a few beach umbrellas and chairs exclusive for the hotel clients at the beach area. Breakfast was great!! Delicious food nice pool. Incredible massage service .

DO NOT STAY HERE

This hotel was horrible. They are not bi-lingual. The elevators stop on every other floor and you either have to walk up or down the stairs. We did not have hot water- twice they came to our room to fix it and on the third time I told them I wanted to check out- on this same day we had a leak in our room. They told me to call Expedia for a refund- I did not book through Expedia. They did not offer to switch our rooms or assist us in any way. The safe worked for 24 hours and then never locked again. There are only sheets on the beds (twin) and no comforters. They gave us one towel each and there is no where to hang wet towels in the room or bathroom. One night I ironed and the area where you pour water in was broken off. We did not even get free water in our room. There was a hair in our soap dish and the lamp and ceiling lights had rust on them. There was a cord that hung in the shower for bath suits I assume- it was covered in black spots which I am guessing was mold. My favorite part is that we were on the 17th floor and there weren’t any screens on the windows. So when we opened the window we could have easily fallen out. Room was shabby, paint was chipped- I found tissues under the bed. Breakfast was gross. On a rainy day I asked the gentlemen outside to please call us a cab. He shrugged his shoulders and told us to walk down the street. WiFi was dismal- I used the hotspot on my phone. This was my third trip to Cartagena - the other two times I stayed at the Intercontinental and the experience was night and day. The intercontinental was perhaps $100 more. Cartagena is a beautiful city and I will be sure to be back- just do not stay at the Hostel Dann…ooops I mean Hotel Dann.

Cartagena Stay

The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The staff you interact with are bilingual. The food and bar are excellent. The location is excellent. 20mil will get a taxi anywhere you need to go (a little more for airport). The pool was so much fun and the facilities are extremely clean.
