    Lovely historic setting with beautiful garden and pool

    Housed in a lovely historic building in the centre of Granada, the hotel really makes you feel like you’re experiencing the historic city. At the same time, the lush garden inside, and the swimming pool, makes you feel like you’ve come to an oasis. The rooms are on the small side, and with only small windows to the inside patio, but the common areas much make up for it. Good service and breakfast.

    Beautiful hotel

    I stayed at El Almirante for 3 nights and I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to move in. My room was so clean and the bed comfortable - shower hot and powerful. This hotel is the true definition of ‘home away from home’. All the staff were so approachable and friendly, even though some did not speak good English and I speak almost no Spanish, there were always ways to communicate. I met the owner, who lives abroad, and had great conversation with him over a drink at the small bar. The hotel arranged laundry service at a reasonable cost. The hotel is in a central location in Granada, 5 minutes walk from the central square and 10 minutes from Lake Nicaragua. I felt perfectly safe walking around at any time. There is a small pool, very clean and perfect for dipping your toes into at the end of a long day. Granada is a fabulous city, one that draws you in and constantly surprises. Great restaurant scene and art community. I’m coming back and will stay at El Almirante.

    Wonderful lunch here while on a tour.

    We went to the restaurant at this hotel as part of an all day tour which included lunch. It was much more of a meal than a lunch. We were offered our choice of Chicken, Beef or Fish. All three came with vegetables & rice. I had the beef, and my wife had the chicken; both were delicious. Those that had the fish totally enjoyed theirs as well. Before the meal, there were tortillas, plantains and beans and a wonderfully delicious tomato soup. The service was friendly and excellent and I did not hear any complaints from any one in our group (22 people) - everyone enjoyed their meal.

    Great lunch !

    We didn't stay at the hotel, but we stopped in for lunch . The food was very good. I had the steak and vegetables with salad , my 1 grandson had the fish and my wife and other grandson had the chicken. We all enjoyed the food very much. Sorry I can't comment on the hotel itself.

    El Almirante Hotel Granada Nicaragua

    I go to Granada Nicaragua every year. I lived there for several years and return to visit. This is the first year Ive stayed at this hotel. It was recommended by a friend. Im very impressed. It has about 20 rooms, excellent staff who are very helpful. It is 100% clean and up to date. The pool is beautiful. This place is a great deal for the price! I highly recommend it.
