Birthday Gift Marred
I have a premium membership in Veterans Holidays, a vacation club membership opportunity for Veterans. My first booking was for my wife's birthday. A week away from kids and grandkids to have some alone, quality time together. Hamilton Harbor Resorts was our destination with check-in specified as being between 4PM and 6PM. We arrived at 4:30 PM. There were no signs indicating a registration or check- in area. The on-line phone number was no longer a working number. The default number was also "not working". The next number had a voice recording that directed us to send an email. Needless to say, there was no quick response and we were unable to check in. Maybe it is for the best. The picture on-line is deceptive. We saw no swimming pool and the exterior appearance, though rustic, leaves a lot to be desired.

Frauds!!!
I am a recently divorced, 60 year-old male, who moved in to Hamilton Harbor condos on November 17, 2015. Was told then that a 30-day notice of vacating was required to get my $500 deposit back. No problem. I gave the on-site manager, Resa, that notice on March 16, 2016, when I paid my final month's rent. Was told at that time to give them my new address, which I did, and my deposit would be mailed to me, after the last electric bill came thru ( I paid any amount over $100), which would be held out of deposit check. After repeated attempts to find out status of deposit return, and repeated replies of, "working on it" or "I'll take care of it in next few days", I finally went back to condo office on June 29, 2016, where Resa informed me that I had not complied with the correct procedure for my 30-day notice, and would not get deposit back. She then printed me a form which stated that I was supposed to have sent a certified letter to their office stating my intent to vacate. I asked her why she didn't tell me that when I gave her verbal notice the first time, or during any of our subsequent conversations. Her reply was "I didn't sign the agreement. You did". When I got home, I looked in the file I had created for Hamilton Harbor and found that I never got that form when I originally rented, or any time after, which, of course, I can't prove. This is just the final act of unprofessionalism, lack of communication and integrity that I encountered in the 5 months that I lived there. Not to mention the many maintenance issues that were ignored by local management; and the frequent sight of police car blue lights visiting my neighbors at all hours, for domestic disturbance, drugs, theft, etc. This "resort" is a joke!!!

Nice rustic spot overlooking lake
Two nite stay while touring Arkansas. Provided to owners within the resort's system. Rustic unit and fully furnished. Queen bed rather hard but other than that was a nice spot from which to explore Hot Springs. Nice living dining area with balconies overlooking lake. Friendly staff made arrangement easy.

HORRIBLE service, no pool
The place we stayed was nice (that was thanks to the owner, NOT Hamilton Harbors), there was a beautiful view of the lake, but they advertise having a pool...and that was essentially a lie. The pool was open for a grand total of 2 days for the summer, and was "closed for repairs" the rest of the time. They refused to give answers as to why or show that they were doing anything about it. For the price we paid to stay here (over $1500), not having one of the main amenities was disappointing and aggravating. The pool was one of the reasons we chose to rent from there. GOOD LUCK getting the office staff to answer your phone calls or concerns. They NEVER return phone calls, and if they answer the door to the office, you still do not get a satisfactory response. I would not recommend this to others if you are looking for the full experience.

A little different
Used our timeshare trade to stay here for the motorcycle rides around Hot Springs. After reading the reviews we wondered if it was a good call. They NEVER answer the phone and return messages sometimes. We were going to have a late check in and it took a lot to get it pulled off, but they did have a key waiting. 6 calls and to 2 return calls to get it accomplished. Room was average, had newer carpet, a new microwave and pretty new other furnishings. Only one key worked, sliding glass doors rollers are shot and it took a lot of effort to operate. One TV remote didn't work, and they knew it, since a brand new one was there in the package for us to program. Shower door rollers were broke, so we had to be careful with it. Water pressure was great, with lots of hot water. Jaccussi tub worked fine. Bed was good, but pillows were terrible. One light did not work. Maintenance man came to install missing range burner guards. Pool was good but had to use the key and reach over to gate to unlock because the outer lock didn't work.No lake access. Never checked in, had any contact with anyone else or checked out, really strange. They rent several units by the month along with several condo owners. Could have been better, but could have been a lot worse. Appears they are trying to improve, but still have a ways to go.
