Great service, so so food and loud live nightly music

The staff and service is very good! Everybody was helpful and friendly with me and my baby! We only had breakfast there and what was fresh was good (fruit and eggs done at the moment) the cooked dishes (chicharrón, refried beans, chilaquiles…)were not the best. Go very early because otherwise the waiting list to be fitted is super super long! The rooms need a bit of an upgrade but they are not terrible. The pool is nice and the beach is super nice. I loved that beach beds as they are more comfy to be with a baby. Every night they have live music that is very loud and due to where it’s being played you can tell it can be heard in all rooms. That was very annoying and I had to put baby down to sleep with loud white noise to block the music.

    Will go again, most likely.

Older hotel. It is clean, kept well yet ready for modernization. The service is second to none. If you are looking for reasonably priced ocean front accommodations with a nice pool, pool bar and room service, this fits well. The area was safe, there was lots to do and the food was very good. Nearby restaurants were many and wonderful while a taxi to get there, if not walking, was very inexpensive. This was our first time and we are talking about going back already.

    Won't come back here again.

Well the room view was fantastic since we have the ocean view room. The bed was also fairly comfortable. The people that work there are fantastic very friendly. We did the all inclusive but i would suggest not to do so as there are better food outside. I can suggest maybe the breakfast is a good place to start since you can start your day well fed. However for most part the food wasn't that good except for the Mexican feast day and the meat grilling day. Outside of those two the food is not too great. They also have an Italian restaurant that you have to make reservation 9am the day before and the food was pretty horrible. Now i will get back to the room especially the bathroom. The two faucets were leaking everytime you turn on the water so we had to continually wipe the bathroom sink area down. The bathroom should have been cleaner but oh well. Like i said the view was great and the beach was cool. But the pool which had the bar had many kids in it although they have a kids pool too. Not sure why they allow kids to swim in the pool where the bar is at. Why not just have kids swim at their private kids only pool? Sadly we didn't even jump in the pool thinking of how many little kids pee'd in there. :-( We actually enjoyed more away from the hotel than in it. I can go on but i will stop there. Overall, it wasn't the best experience with a hotel. We will not be back here for sure.

    Rude unfriendly

We arrived around 230 there was a long wait for checkin it took us around one hour in line they dont offer water or anything, The reception staff quite rude we had ordered a king and they basicaly said we have no kings left this is all we have The pool size is on the small size for all the people in the hotel. Food is average nothing spectacular and the music is a solo wich sings every night , next to our hotel we could here everynight great shows at the hotel next door The security staff is very agressive and even on the disrespectful side, we purchased a tequila to bring back and the security staff basically wanted to take it away from us i said you are crazy you have no right, the whole afternoon they were just checking us every move wich was unconfortable and rude we tried to talk with the manager who was never available for us They dont have enough chairs at the pool everyday a hazzle to find space we wont be coming back there are much better options nearby

A great smaller hotel with a Mexican feel

Upon arriving at the All-Inclusive Emporio Hotel, right on the beach, I had a good first impression. A gate at the entrance was cleared before the bus could go down to the front entrance. This made me feel safe as I was a solo traveller. I was greeted by the staff and directed to the front desk. There were two employees checking in the guests. Although friendly, they could not speak much English which I found strange at a reception desk. It did not take long before I was checked into my room on the 8th floor. My room faced the market rather than beach. This turned out to be a blessing as it was quieter I think than facing the other way. The room was clean and had all the necessary items to stay including comfy beds. However, it was dated and I think some upgrades to the room would be good. Wifi is available in your room and throughout the hotel. This is a smaller hotel in the scheme of things. One large pool with a side pool for kids and a hot tub and a pool bar. The lobby was divided into two, one side had a lobby bar with tables and chairs which were very well worn. A big white wall was used to show movies and/or where there was a large platform for entertainment. The other side of the lobby was updated and had big, comfy chairs. Obviously this side was updated. In the evening, the entertainment was lacking pizazz which was in the lobby. There was a solo singer starting around 9 pm. I stuck close to the hotel in the evening as I was alone and this entertainment didn't keep me inspired. Although good, I was looking for more. The restaurants and main Condimento where most ate their three meals a day, served good food. But I really enjoyed the Italian restaurant Arrecife-so delicious! There is also a BBQ restaurant in front of the beach. The Arrecife and BBQ restaurants need to have reservations on the day you plan to go. The fabulous beach is right there to enjoy. So nice to have great weather every day and enjoy tours offered in the lobby. I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is a great location and right across the street from the market. If you are looking for a Mexican feel, then this is the place. Brush up on your Spanish :) I have been to Ixtapa many times in the past. This time I saw some good changes: no smoking in most places, no loud music on the beach, security everywhere so I always felt safe. I can't wait to go again.
