  The name is misleading

  The name is a scam as it is not a luxury hotel at all. Rooms and the building is nice but that is all. Do not take a cheaper room facing the busy street. Ask for one inside the building. Internet did not work nore the television. No glasses for drinking water. This list is long but with this price one should get better services. Breakfast is ok and service also ok.

  Charming Hotel - Great Value for your Money

  PROS: EXCELLENT Service from staff. Full Breakfast included. Very charming colonial style hotel. Clean and quiet rooms. Located within the wall city and with views of the wall and castle. Small rooftop pool with small jacuzzi with 360 views. Even thou is on a busy street the room was very quiet. CONS: won't allow you to check in before 3pm not even a minute before (we arrived at 2:30 and literally had to sit in front of the reception until they called our names at 3:01pm) Rooms are extremely hot even with the fans as they do not turn on the AC prior guest arriving.

  Getsemani Mid-Range

  Photos in marketing show a true but incomplete depiction of this hotel, which has pleasant common areas, very simple rooms, a minuscule pool and is located right on the good side of the edge of seediness of the tourist districts. It was very walkable, and we ventured far each day, though also enjoyed early morning walks around the corner. Breakfast was a nice touch, with plenty daily overlap, though they changed just enough to make each day interesting. The area around the hotel is quite noisy, and this might effect some guests' sleep.

  Lovely hotel!

  This is a beautiful property located in Getsemani. The location is great and you can walk to all attractions in the City. The hotel is very nice with an authentic Cartagenan style. The employees are very attentive and corteous, with an impeccable service. The breakfast is outstanding. Is nice to have access to the rooftop pool and chairs, especially with the hot days. Oh!! Juan Valdes coffee shop is conveniently located adjacent to the hotel (yay!) The hotel offers tours and trips from/to the airport at reasonable prices. The area is very busy with cars but the noise is minimum at night. We fell in love with this hotel and we recommend it 100%.

  Perfect 👌🏽 location 📍

  I was born in Cartagena and every two visit the city I like to stay in Getsemany because is the most central barrio in the old city. This hotel has an excellent location; away from the main noise of the neighbourhood but in prime location for taxis and close to all shops; restaurant, bars, clubs, travel agents etc and at the end of the night the double glazing shiled you from most of the noise ( but be mindful, Cartagena is a noisy city, so if you are looking for silence you would never find it) still after midnight most of the noise stop. The hotel is super clean, well kept, the roof top is sufficient for a cool dip. They only served bread fast and for a person like me with a complex diet they did very well. I found the staff super nice and engaging. If you are Colombian make sure to enter the country with your Colombian passport so you don't pay VAT. I like the taxi service and having a cafe next to the hotel, means that you can have a friend at the cafe but is not allowed inside the hotel, You will have to pay if you loose your key and Iike the impose the NO smoking and noise policy inside. I will certainly returned on my next trip to Cartagena.
